"I'll do my best," I said, grinning. "Can you boil the eggs while I prepare the other ingredients?"I ask, with a bitter sweetness. I hate boiling the eggs. Always to raw or to cooked through. When Gojo does it it's not my fault at the end.

"Sure thing, captain!" he said, saluting dramatically before filling a pot with water and placing it on the stove. "Eggs are my specialty, you know. I've been told I'm egg-squisite at it."

I groaned at the pun but couldn't help laughing. "You're impossible." I couldn't hold my laughter for a while. It turned into a long hold chuckle.

"Impossibly charming, I know," he said, winking again. "How do you want the meat strips cooked?" He points to the meat stripes I already cut, fast right? I know, when I can do something it's preparing the ingredients as fast as possible.

"Just a quick sear in the pan," I instructed, chopping the spring onions. "We want them tender but with a bit of a crispy edge. Trust me Gojo- that is the combo of the year!" My smile almost as huge as my face. Bright and full of fun. This really is a good day. I didn't regret inviting him a bit. Mostly forgetting about the aspect why he really is here.

He nodded, heating up a pan and adding the meat strips with a bit of oil. The kitchen filled with the mouth-watering aroma of sizzling meat. "You know, Y/N, this is the life. Cooking in a cozy kitchen with a wonderful chef. Who needs fancy restaurants?"

"Is that so?" I said, raising an eyebrow. Another chuckle rolls over my lips. "And here I thought you lived a life of excitement and danger."

"Oh, I do," he said, flipping the meat with a flourish. "But even the most powerful sorcerer needs to unwind. And what better way than with some gourmet instant noodles?" I laughed, shaking my head as I added the spring onions to the pot of noodles. "You're something else, Gojo."

"And don't you forget it," he said, grinning. "Now, how long do these noodles need to cook?" "Just a few minutes," I said, stirring the pot. "We're almost done."

"Good," he said, leaning against the counter and watching me with a playful smile. "Because I've been waiting all day to see your culinary skills in action."

"Don't get your hopes up too high," I warned, smiling back. "It's just instant noodles, after all."

"Ah, but it's not just about the food," he said, his tone suddenly serious. "It's about the journey. And this journey has been egg-squisite so far." I felt my cheeks heat up at his words. "You've said that before, the joke has lost it's humour" He chuckled, turning back to the stove. "Come ooon- it's still funny!."

As we continued cooking, Gojo's antics kept the mood light and fun. He started narrating the process like we were on a cooking show. "Ladies and gentlemen, behold the master at work! Watch as Y/N expertly dices the spring onions. Such precision! Such grace!" "Gojo, you're ridiculous," I said, laughing as I stirred the noodles.

"Ridiculously awesome, you mean," he corrected, giving the meat strips a final flip. "And now, for the pièce de résistance, we combine our ingredients into a symphony of flavor!"

"Or, you know, just put them in a bowl," I said, shaking my head. "Details, details," he said, waving a hand dismissively. "Now, let's plate this masterpiece." We served the noodles in bowls, topping them with the boiled eggs, spring onions, and meat strips. Gojo looked at his bowl with exaggerated reverence. "A culinary work of art, if I do say so myself."

"More like a last-minute dinner," I said, rolling my eyes. "Hey, a masterpiece is a masterpiece," he said, taking a seat at the table. "And this, my dear Y/N, is definitely a masterpiece." We sat down to eat, and as we dug into our bowls of noodles, Gojo kept the jokes and commentary coming. "You know, I think this could be the start of a new career for me. Gojo's Gourmet – what do you think?"

"I think you should stick to sorcery," I said, laughing. "Ah, but where's the fun in that?" he said, grinning. "Life's all about trying new things. And I have to say, this is pretty egg-citing."

"Okay, enough with the egg puns," I said, shaking my head. "You're going to scramble my brain."

He laughed, raising his bowl in a mock toast. "To new experiences, good food, and even better company."

"Cheers to that," I said, clinking my bowl against his. As we ate, the conversation flowed easily, filled with laughter and lighthearted banter. It was one of the most enjoyable meals I'd had in a long time, and I couldn't help but feel grateful for Gojo's unexpected presence in my life.

And so, in my little kitchen, with instant noodles and a playful sorcerer, I found a moment of simple happiness. But that quickly turned upside down once I mentioned the original aspect of his visit. The pink haired boy.

Just the story alone sends shivers down my spine. Even I have heard about sukuna. The king of curses. Only mid through I felt my stomach clenching. I definitely have a weak stomach. So I just pushed the bowl aside, silently listening to his explanation and why I'm not allowed to say anything.

The higher ups want this sweet child dead? No, that sacrifice would be totally unnecessary. In general his sacrifices. Has anybody thought about how he feels with that? Turning a hero over night. Fighting things he has never seen before just to 'die' at his second mission or so. Able to kill himself so his friend and teammate survives? Cruel. Just to cruel for a 15 year old boy.

We talked about that for hours. Before he excused himself with a sudden mission. It wasn't a lie. I heard the phone call, he wasn't speaking quietly at all.
