Throwing another blue cocktail dress across the room, Vanya sat down in front of the mirror, her frustration palpable. She had no idea what to wear to this 'Elite Business Party.' The sarcasm in her thoughts was hard to ignore.

It had been three days since the proposal for her and Vihaan's marriage was announced. In that time, neither she nor Vihaan had bothered to text each other. However, yesterday evening, Viraj called Vanya to inform her about a gala business party.

Since she was Vihaan's to-be wife or fiancée, she was expected to accompany him, especially because only couples were invited. Despite her reluctance to be near Vihaan, she respected his father's personal request and agreed to attend.

Now, here she was, frantically trying to select the perfect dress that would befit the "to-be daughter-in-law" of the Rathores'. She felt an immense pressure to look the part. She tossed dresses left and right, feeling more and more exasperated with each passing minute.

"What am I supposed to wear to match him?" she muttered to herself, staring at the pile of discarded dresses. She wondered what Vihaan might be wearing and what would be appropriate for her.

But then, a realization hit her. Why should she even care about what Vihaan thought of her appearance? This wasn't about him or impressing him. She was doing this for the prestige of the Rathores, to uphold the respect they commanded. Taking a deep breath, she reminded herself, "It's only for the sake of the Rathores' reputation."

She selected a stunning gown that perfectly embodied both elegance and sophistication. The dress was a breathtaking creation, featuring a form-fitting silhouette that highlighted her curves.

The fabric, a delicate blend of silver and nude, was intricately embellished with sparkling sequins and beadwork, giving it a luxurious and glamorous look.

The strapless design accentuated her shoulders and collarbones, while the intricate patterns of the embellishments cascaded down the length of the dress, creating a mesmerizing effect. The gown flowed gracefully to the floor, with a slight train that added a touch of drama and grandeur.

As she stood before the mirror, the dress shimmered under the light, reflecting a spectrum of hues that made her look nothing short of regal.

Her hair was styled in soft waves, cascading down her back, and she completed the look with delicate earrings that added just the right amount of sparkle without overwhelming the ensemble.

As she smoothed down the fabric of her dress, her mind racing with a mix of emotions. She thought about the absurdity of the situation. Here she was, preparing to attend a party as Vihaan's fiancée, a man she barely knew and already had a rocky start with.

The memory of their heated argument on the road flashed through her mind, making her clench her fists in frustration.

"Why does it always have to be so complicated?" she sighed, shaking her head. She wondered if Vihaan was feeling the same way, or if he was just as indifferent to this whole charade. Did he see this as just another obligation, or was he actually looking forward to this party? The thought annoyed her.
