a week of pretending love

The Beginning Of The Truth.

Niel is working on his office room. his expression getting more annoyed with the sounds of the knocked on the door.

"come in." He said coldly with a frowned on his face as soon as he saw his wife.

"I've make you a coffee, husband.." She said as she put the coffee on his desk.

He frowned even more while sighing frustratedly. He pushed the glass away, making it falls to the floor as it got broken. She flinched slightly at the sounds of the thrown away glass.

"I won't ever eat or drink something that you made.. who wonder what kind of thing you put in it." He said sarcasticly as he stares at her with a cold look.

"..I won't put anything in it. At least..  appreciate whatever things that I give for you." She mumbles as she kneels to the floor, gathering up the broken glasses on the floor.

"Appreciate?" He scoffed loudly as he looking down at her.

"What's the point of appreciating? You were forced to married with me and so am I. We had no choice."

His tone was cold but there's was a hint of vulnerability in his eyes.

"I get it.. but your acts doesn't change anything at all." She silently said while still picking up the broken glasses on the floor.

His expression was still cold, but his eyes betrayed his inner struggle. He knew she was right, but he unable to admit it.

He sighed heavily and ran a hand through his hair in frustration.

"You just don't understand, do you? It's not that simple."

She stopped what she's doing as she looking up at him.

"I understand very well that you hate this marriage but it's doesn't mean you have to hate on me too, a person who also got forced into this marriage." She said with a desperate tone, trying to change his mind.

He clenched his jaw tightly, his chest rising and falling as he took a deep breaths, trying to control his anger and frustration. He couldn't deny the truth in her words, but his stubbornness was preventing him from yielding.

"It's not that simple," He repeated through gritted teeth, his eyes narrowing at her. "You can act all nice, but underneath that sweetness, you're just as manipulative as every other woman. 

Her expression fallen due to his hurtful words, making her heart tighten.

"..you have never ever talking or getting know about me.. and you already though the bad things about me?" She said with her low tone, as if she was whisperings at him.

He rolled her eyes annoyedly, his arms still crossed over his chest.

"I know enough. You're just like all the rest. You only care about getting what you want. You probably accept this marriage just for the sake of my money and to improve your family status." He said coldly

She dropped all the broke glasses on the floor, with her sad face as she stand up and went to Infront of him.

"I..! I.. really do love you..." She suddenly confess with a slight tear in her eye.

His heart seemed to skip a beat as she confessed her love for him. He froze in his seat, his eyes widened slightly but quickly turned cold again. He clenched his fists tightly, his knuckles turning white.

He couldn't believe what he just heard. Of all the things she could have said, this was the last thing he expected. It caught him off guard, and for a moment, he didn't know how to respond.

She wipes the tear in her eye as she sigh softly, trying to calm herself down.

"listen here.. I only needed you to treat me better.. for a week and after that, you can do whatever you want."

He was surprised to see tears in her eyes and felt a pang of guilt in his chest. But he quickly brushed it aside, refusing to soften his heart.

"And what makes you think I'll go along with your plan?" he sneered, his voice cold and challenging. But deep down, he was curious to know what she had in mind.

She take a deep breath, feeling hesitate whether she should've or not about her hurtful idea.

"I'll let you to meet up with your past girlfriend after that week."
