As dark secrets surface, Darcy confronts the malev...
Throughout the day, I couldn't stop thinking about this strange man. Who was he and why did I feel this unknown pull towards him? and on top of it all, what was that figure doing there? Is it following me? what does it even want? After reaching my home, I head inside and turn on the lights. Taking sight of my home, it had a perfect hall and a kitchen in the right corner, the upstairs led to my room and store room, my room had an mini balcony. That's all. I look around and see the photo hung on the wall of me and mom, just one photo I forced her to click with me when I was 9. I sigh heading to my room and closing the door shut behind, the emptiness doesn't scare me. I flop onto the bed thinking about what Silas had meant when she said she has 'other' plans maybe tomorrow I'll head to her place because we have a lot to discuss about Ava.
Flashback
"Mom, please. Why would you want me to marry Mr Harrison? I'm only 17!" I yell, not eating the pasta she just served, what if there's poison in them?
She glares at me before taking a seat at the opposite "Don't call me that and I have to get rid of you one way or the other." She says with pure hatred in her eyes, why does she have to hate me so much?
"I've had enough while raising you after I found you in that disgusting woods, I shouldn't even have shown any pity." She continues speaking
My hand tightens around the fork, the scars she has ever given me starts to pain and hurt now, it aches so bad I wanna throw this plate of pasta on her face
"But you can't let me marry him, no, not him." I continue to protest, I didn't want to marry, I'm not even a legal adult and i could easily file a case against her for forcing me into marrying some pathetic adult who touches me inappropriately in the name of 'check up'
"Enough of this conversation, you either eat or go back to your room and sleep. I don't care if you sleep hungry" She says carelessly. If only I knew who my real mother was. She never failed reminding me that she wasn't my mother and I shouldn't call her that, then why take me at all?
"You're gonna regret this." I say, pushing the chair down while standing up and heading to my room, slamming the door shut behind me. Ah I wish Silas was here so that I could yap but she has gone on a week trip to Italy, average rich girl.
I head off to sleep, but I wasn't able to. The pain in my body she gave me is too much, it hurts bad, real bad. The scars, it's burning. It's burning badly. What wrong thing did I ever ask for? I just asked love and in return I got pain.

When I woke up, the house was eerily quiet, much quieter than usual. Normally, loud music would be blaring at 8 in the morning, but today, there was only silence. I yawned and got off the bed, the stillness of the house making my heart beat a little faster.
I stepped out of my room, every creak of the floorboards under my feet amplifying the tension in the air. As I made my way downstairs, an inexplicable sense of dread settled in the pit of my stomach. The shadows seemed longer, the air heavier.
Reaching the bottom of the stairs, I paused, looking around. The living room was empty, the kitchen dark. I turned my gaze toward my mother's room, the door slightly ajar. My heart thumped louder as I approached, the sound almost deafening in the silent house.
I slowly pushed the door open, the hinges creaking ominously. My breath caught as I stepped inside, my eyes locking onto the still figure on the bed. My mother was lying there, peaceful and unmoving. I crept closer, my pulse racing, and sat beside her, leaning in to check if she was breathing. I smile when she isn't
