Chapter 13:Till the Angels Come

Akame:Tatsumi was kiddnaped by Esdeath!?

Currently, remaining of the Night Raid were in their hideout. Leone and Lubbock got back from the tournament, to relay the news of Tatsumi's abduction by Esdeath to Akame. She had a worried face.

Mine:Did she realize he was with Night Raid!?

Lubbock:It didn't seem like she meant him any harm. I don't know...maybe half-and-half?

Leone:We only saw that he was taken to the palace. What do we do, stand-in boss?

Akame had a troubled look on her. Goin to the palace was a suicide, and going after Esdeath is like going after a devil himself. Suddenly, a memory from that night resurfaced back. The night when he promised her that he won't make her cry again. She clenched her fists.

Akame:Tatsumi...

Mine:You'd better not suggest some crazy idea, like that we go and save him, Akame. The Palace is full of traps and guards, remember? We couldn't get in, even under normal conditions! And Tatsumi's true identity might not have been found out yet.

Akame:Either way, let's temporarily move our base deeper into the mountains. 

Leone:Good idea. we might be found out here.

Lubbock:So...what do we do about Tatsumi? I don't want to think the worst but...

Akame then looked down. She wants to bring back Tatsumi, but going in like a blind is stupid idea.

Akame:I know. We won't charge in, without a plan...

She then looked at them with strong determination.

Akame:But, Tatsumi is our precious comrade! We'll do what we can!

Everyone smilled at their determination. They are goint to rescue Tatsumi no matter what. It was getting late, and Night Raid went to their own rooms. They must be ready for Tomorrow. Akame was climbing up the stairs. When she got in front of her room she stopped. She felt someone's presence in her room.

She didn't have her sword with her, so she needs to fight with hands. She slowly put her hand on the door knob, and quickly opened it. When she got in her room, it was empty. She saw that her sword was untouched. She sighted a sight of relief.

???:Going to sleep, eh?

She was startled by a voice behind her. She instinctively turned around and went for a roundhouse kick. But the person grabbed her leg. She gasped when she saw a skull mask.

???:Nice reflexes.

He then let go of her leg. Akame then backed away from him. She was on guard.

Akame:Who are you?

???:You mean, you don't know me?

The person then pulled back his hood and removed his mask. Akame gasped, it was Kerber. But what was strange to her was his outfit. She knows he always wear purple outfit.

Akame:K-Kerber?

Kerber:Hehehe. Did I scare you?

Akame:Well, I wasn't expecting you to wear all black. What's with the mask and that outfit?

Kerber:Long story short, I got my wanted poster across the Capital.

Akame's eyes widened. Looks like he's also wanted by the Empire now. But what confused her the most. Why didn't they put his wanted poster sooner. 

Kerber:It looks like Tatsumi has been captured by Esdeath. 

Akame:Yeah, I know...

Kerber:So, what do you plan to do?
