On March 26th, 2029, 7:34 p.m., a terrorist organization referring to themselves as "Destructionists" managed to create the single most destructive weapon in Norra Halvön history. The origins of this weapon are still unknown due to a lack of surviving data. However, it was so powerful, an estimated 15,000 sq-km were incinerated in a matter of seconds, tearing a hole in the atmosphere above, with a "wave of death" radiating a maximum of 250 km from the initial site, burning any and all living things in its wake.
But strangely, the firestorm seemed to cut off rather abruptly. From one of our recorded areas, the wave seemed to drop from ~70% intensity to ~5% intensity in just over 3 kilometers.
Thankfully, we have seen that the now desolate wasteland is slowly regaining life, with many types of plants slowly claiming the now ghostly lands as their home at an average rate of 10 meters a day in the spring and summer months, with the help of pokemon dropping to spread it.
We believe some, but very few pokemon or humans may have survived within the outskirts of the blast if they happened to be underground with enough food to last a few days as the fires died down, but either no one survived long enough to reach civilization, or they simply don't ever wish to tell their tell.
All we can infer is that anyone, human or pokemon, would not have survived within 100 km of the blast, and to honor their memory, we hold an annual memorial service, so even decades from now, they won't ever be forgotten, and may their spirits rest in peace in the afterlife.
