The sun had barely risen when Rhydian gently knocked on Lucifer's door. "Time to wake up," he called softly, stepping into the room. He set out Lucifer's uniform, ensuring everything was perfectly in place before turning to see Lucifer stirring.
Lucifer stretched and sat up, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. "Morning, Rhydian," he said with a yawn.
"Good morning, Lucifer," Rhydian replied with a smile. "Your uniform is ready. You have plenty of time, so no need to rush."
Lucifer nodded and made his way to the bathroom for a quick shower. The warm water helped him wake up, and soon he was dressed in his neatly pressed uniform. He glanced at himself in the mirror, adjusting his tie before heading downstairs.
Satan was already seated at the dining table, sipping his coffee and reading a newspaper. He looked up as Lucifer and Rhydian entered. "Good morning, boys," he greeted them.
"Morning, Dad," Lucifer replied, taking a seat.
Rhydian joined them, and breakfast was served promptly. The table was set with an array of fresh fruits, pastries, and a hearty serving of eggs and bacon. They ate in comfortable silence, occasionally discussing the plans for the day.
As they finished breakfast, Satan set down his coffee cup. "I've been thinking," he began. "There's no need for us to take two cars to school. We'll go together from now on."
Lucifer and Rhydian exchanged glances and nodded in agreement. "That makes sense," Rhydian said. "It will be more efficient."
With their decision made, they all gathered their belongings and headed to the sleek black car waiting in the driveway. Satan took the wheel, and they drove to school together, the morning sun casting a golden hue over the city.
The drive was peaceful, filled with casual conversation and the sound of the radio playing softly in the background. As they approached the school, Lucifer felt a mix of anticipation and curiosity about what the day would bring.
Arriving at school with Satan, known as Mr. Morningstar by the students, brought a lot of attention on the two boys. The trio walked confidently through the front entrance, aware of the curious glances and hushed whispers following them. Satan nodded to his sons and headed toward the administrative office, while Lucifer and Rhydian made their way to their first class, AP Literature.
Ignoring the attention, the boys settled into their seats, making light conversation as they waited for the teacher and other students to arrive. The classroom gradually filled with students, many of whom were still buzzing with curiosity about the newcomers.
As Lucifer and Rhydian continued their chat, a girl approached them. She was petite with curly brown hair and an inquisitive expression. "Hi, I'm Emily," she introduced herself with a friendly smile.
Lucifer and Rhydian nodded in acknowledgment. "I'm Lucifer, and this is Rhydian," Lucifer replied.
Emily wasted no time in getting to the point. "So, what's the relationship between you and Mr. Morningstar? And what's the deal with you two?" she asked, her eyes darting between the two boys.
Lucifer and Rhydian exchanged a glance, silently deciding how to handle the question. The whole class had their attention on them, waiting eagerly for an answer.
Rhydian sighed softly and took the lead. "Lucifer is Mr. Morningstar's son," he explained calmly. "As for us, we've known each other for years. We're close friends."
Before Emily could respond, the teacher walked in, silencing the room. "Good morning, class," she greeted them with a warm smile. "Let's get started."
The students turned their attention to the lesson, but the curiosity lingered in the air. The teacher, Ms. Harmon, quickly went over the syllabus before diving into the day's topic. After a brief lecture, she announced a group assignment.
