Unexpected Admiration | Haobin

Although Hao may not admit it ever anywhere else besides his own mind, he was disappointed. Obviously he knew Hanbin is within Jiwoong's friend group. Before he met the 4 the boys this morning, he secretly hoped that Hanbin would be there to greet him. So when he saw the younger no where in sight he felt unmotivated.

Of course Hao's goal wasn't only to get close to Hanbin, he wanted to get close to all the boys. But in all honesty, Hanbin was his number one goal.

To put it straight, Hao knew he still felt something for the younger. He just never took action for what he felt, he couldn't. The boys had no connection, up until now that is. Although Hao's feeling aren't anywhere as strong as they were for Hanbin in his freshman year, it was still enough to get Hao looking forward to any possible interactions.

Hao spent all of his morning classes excitedly anticipating lunch time. He knew all the boys would be there so 1. He'd get to meet Taerae and yujin for the first time in person and 2. He'd get to hopefully start a conversation with Hanbin.

He hoped they could catch up during lunch about what happened since freshman year or just talk casually about how their day is going. He didn't care what it was about, he just wanted Hanbin to acknowledge him.

Unfortunately for Hao though what he was looking forward to was quite the opposite from reality.

When Hao headed towards the groups lunch table Gyuvin had yelled a small 'hi hyung!' Making all 8 of the boys look in Hao's direction.

The smile that Hao had on his face slowly faded as he saw Hanbin- who was on the left side of an empty seat- whisper something to Gyuvin before the two switched seats.

Reaching the table he bows slightly before sitting in the empty seat. Almost instantly the boy on his right faces him with a bright smile, "H-hi Zhang Hao! I'm Taerae, I'm also a senior and think that you're really cute!"

What Taerae said had all eyes on the both of them, making Hao let and embarrassed laugh. "Thank you Taerae... I think your styles cute!"

"Woah someone finally thinks Taerae hyung doesn't dress like an old man" says a bunny looking boy straight across from Hao, "Ah you must be yujin, it's nice to meet you" Zhang Hao greets with a warm smile, receiving a smile back with a wave "Hi hyung!... oh? Are you not eating lunch today hyung?" The younger asks with a lopsided frown.

"Ah no I didn't really bring anything plus I'm not really a fan of school lunch..", "hyung!-" Gyuvin exclaims "you shouldn't be skipping me meals even if they're yucky. Aish I knew you'd do that tho so I brought you a choco bun!"

Hao's eyes watch as Gyuvin pulls out a chocolate bun from his bag, smiling as he thinks back on to how the younger knows his favorite sweet. The two were grabbing snacks one time after Gyuvins violin lesson when Hao mentioned that 'if he could he'd eat the sweet snack every day'- for every lesson after that Gyuvin always brought him a warmed up chocolate bun.

As Gyuvin handed Hao the bun, two boys that were watching the seen unfold were glaring hard at the two. "I know you like them heated up but the teachers wouldn't let me into the teachers lounge." Gyuvin says with a pout.

Hao's eyes widen," Gyu! Don't bother the teachers because of food silly, but thank you Gyu for the snack! I'm kinda touched..." hao says as his eyes trail to boy siting on the other side of Gyuvin- who was already staring at him, well more like staring him down.

Making eye contact with the boy Hao feels his heartbeat speed up, "Hey Hanbin, it's nice to see you again...." He says with a small smile that he struggles to keep up when he only receiving a nod with a low "mhm". 'So much for talking huh' he thinks to himself.
