The next day, Revati informed her mother-in-law that Rudra was ready for a second marriage. Revati was smiling, but Aparajita could see the pain behind her smile. It was Aparajita who wanted Revati to convince Rudra for a second marriage, but seeing Revati's hidden sorrow made her wish that their bond would remain unbroken, no matter what came.
Aparajita informed her husband, Vikrant, about Rudra and Revati's decision. Vikrant, understanding how difficult this decision was for them, still acknowledged their readiness. Aparajita also mentioned that Revati wanted to find a suitable bride for Rudra herself.
Vikrant was surprised. "Really? And you allowed her? You know it is not going to be easy for her. She has already made this sacrifice for her responsibility. Don't make her more sad by letting her find the bride for Rudra. We are here, we can find the bride and make sure there is no injustice to any of our children—not Rudra, not Revati, and not even the girl who will come here to give us an heir. We have to take care of everything."
Aparajita sighed, replying to her husband, "I know, Vikrant. I know how difficult it is going to be for her. First, she has to share her husband with another woman, and now she herself wants to choose that girl. But Revati requested me to let her do this, and I couldn't reject her request."
Vikrant nodded, "Okay then, just take care of everything."
At the Dining Table
During breakfast, Vikrant looked at Rudra and said, "Rudra, thank you, son, for being ready for your second marriage." Rudra didn't answer, focusing on his food. He was not eating, just looking at his plate, avoiding any response.
Hearing this, Ranveer and Arya were shocked. How could their elder brother be ready for this? They knew how much he loved his wife, Revati, yet he was still willing to go through with this.
Arya glanced at Revati and saw the pain in her eyes. Though Arya didn't like Revati much, she felt a deep sadness for her bhabhi (sister-in-law). She could sense Revati's pain but couldn't do anything to lessen it. Ranveer shared the same thoughts, feeling helpless.
Vikrant then turned to Revati and said, "Revati, beta, thank you for this. I know you are in pain, and I am sorry, but we need this sacrifice from you." He continued, "But I promise we will stand by your side and not let anything bad happen to you."
Revati just nodded with a faint smile, trying to hide her true feelings.
Revati began searching for a bride for Rudra. She wanted someone who was naive and wouldn't raise her voice for her rights. She knew she was wrong in doing this, but she couldn't bear the thought of Rudra going away from her. She wanted him to be hers alone, even after the His Second Bride came into their lives.
As Revati sifted through potential brides, she felt a heavy weight on her heart. She knew she had to find someone who would not threaten her position in Rudra's life. She was willing to share her husband with another woman but not his love. She wanted the second bride to be more like a sister, someone she could take care of while ensuring Rudra's love remained hers.
Despite her inner turmoil, Revati was determined to protect her bond with Rudra. She spent hours looking at profiles, meeting potential brides, and assessing their personalities. She kept her pain hidden, putting on a brave face for the sake of her husband and the kingdom.
The process was tiring, both emotionally and physically. Each meeting reminded her of the reality she had to face. But Revati was determined. She wouldn't let her feelings stop her from finding a suitable bride who would fulfil the kingdom's need for an heir without disturbing the peace in their lives.
In the evenings, Revati would go to her room, away from everyone, and let her tears fall. The burden of her decision was heavy, but she believed it was needed for the greater good. She prayed quietly for strength and hoped that her sacrifice would not be wasted.
Aparajita watched her daughter-in-law with a heavy heart. She admired Revati's strength but wished she didn't have to go through this ordeal. Aparajita, too, prayed for her family's happiness and for the bond between Rudra and Revati to remain unbroken, no matter what challenges lay ahead.
As days passed, the tension in the household grew. Everyone felt the impending change, but no one spoke of it openly. Rudra continued to focus on his work, trying to avoid the topic as much as possible. Revati carried on with her search, determined to find the right girl.
Days became weeks, and the tension at home began to rise; everyone felt the change coming but nobody spoke of it openly. Rudra buried himself in work to run away from the subject, and Revati continued her search for the girl.
It has been 4 weeks; Revati has been searching for a suitable girl for Rudra. She wants a naïve girl who won't take Rudra away from her. So, she is working relentlessly in finding an innocent, naïve girl who will suit their status. She hasn't found any because almost every girl in today's generation knows how to fight and stand up for their rights.
In the search, Revati's thoughts have shifted to only one girl who fits in this criteria. The girl who belongs to a royal family and holds the title of a princess but she doesn't know how to fight for her own rights. She wants nothing more than love and acceptance from her family. According to Revati, this girl could be the right woman to become Rudra's second bride because she will never be able to replace her in Rudra's heart. She knows this girl is not Rudra's type and that no matter how hard she tries, she would never win his heart. But first, she has to make arrangements so that the girl will agree to this marriage.
