Third Person POV:

It's been 3 days since their fight. Michelle hasn't contacted me. I guess this is it, this is the end. Anntonia felt so stupid, she didn't even let her explain her side of the story. Maybe her version of the story isn't even the real one. It might not be her fault. She hasn't slept, nor eaten, ever since Michelle left.

"Anntonia, you have to eat. You can't starve yourself waiting for her to come back."

"I'll eat once she's back," I replied, as she refused to look up, her voice muffled by being buried in the pillow Michelle gave her for their 1st anniversary.

"It's been 3 days, Ann, she's not coming back, just accept it, and move one with your life, this is for your own good," Rhian argued. She too, was wondering where her best friend went. "But I love her, Rhi, she left, and it's all my fault, I didn't even let her explain, I'm so stupid," Anntonia replied, sobbing, her pillow now soaked with tears.

"We'll help finding her, Ann, promise me you'll eat." Rhian replied, sighing, accepting the fact that her friend's decision is now made and she can't change it. Anntonia lifted her head, sobbing like a child looking for her mother.

"You promise?" She asked in between her sobs. Still crying uncontrollably. Rhian couldn't do anything but force a smile to assure the younger woman.

"I promise, Ann, we'll do our best,"

Anntonia's POV:

Going on with your life after losing someone you love is hard. Michelle was my everything, and the thought of her not being by my side breaks my heart into tiny pieces, as if it can never be healed again. And now, this is my life. It's been a week. I managed to get myself out of bed, forcing myself to eat. I tried reading my favorite book hoping to divert my attention.

"This was the book Michelle gave to me," I whispered to myself. Tears unknowingly streaming down my face once again. I was about to head upstairs to sleep and try to forget about it when my phone rang. I looked at my phone to see who was calling me.

"My Zara🖤"

Is this real? Am I dreaming? I quickly answered the phone, my heart beating fast, ready to hear her voice again.

"Ann, I miss you, I'm so sorry,"

I started shaking. It's really her.

"Michelle?" I asked, tears streaming down my face.

"Ann, please let me explain, I didn't kiss her. Sam, she just kissed me without my permission, she was still hung up on us, telling me how I shouldn't have broken up with her. The day she called while we were having breakfast, she was asking me to reconcile. And maybe we can still be friends. She sounded so genuine. She even said she was happy for us. And I didn't want to throw our friendship away. So I agreed to meet up with her. She also said Rhian and the others will be there. And they agreed to go too. I tried calling Rhian but she didn't answer. That's why I brought you along with me. I didn't want you to be worried, or to doubt our love. When we arrived, she said Rhian wouldn't be able to make it, and so will the others. We were just talking smoothly, and she started asking about us. That was when you went to the bathroom." She paused, sobbing, trying to catch her breath. "I asked you if you wanted me to come with you but you said no, the moment you were gone, she sat closer to me. Saying how sorry she was, and she shouldn't have cheated on me, she even told me that if I take her back she wouldn't do it again, and that she knows you were just a rebound. I got mad and tried to stand up. She sat on my lap and kissed me. I tried pushing her away but she wouldn't budge, she was waiting for you to come out of the bathroom. And when you did, that was when she stopped and stole another kiss, I pushed her away and tried to follow you, and you took our car. So I went inside to just drink the leftover wine in my glass, but I didn't know she added something in it. The moment I finished it, I blacked out, and the last thing I saw was her on top of me, whispering something in my ears. I'm sorry I didn't follow you, I was wrong, I'm sorry I didn't even try to defend myself. Please forgive me," she cried.
