CREATING A SCENE

        "Attention everyone "

Kelvin's voice rang through the room intending to grab everyone's attention and sure he did cus in no minute the room is as silent as a graveyard with just a few murmuring here and there. He talked about the Valentine's celebration that is fast approaching and what they plan on doing on that particular day. He urged James to come to take over from where he stopped since James is the Social prefect.

 

                          "Good day everyone, hope you guys are having a splendid day as I am ".

He smiled and just at that moment noise erupt from everyone mostly from the girls in the room.

                      "How stupid "

Serena suddenly said, she didn't seem to understand what the girls in their school see in James he is not even handsome enough to be compared to Golden Smith who is biracial.

 

                      "Show off"

Alexander said in unison with what Serena said.  They both turned to face each  other and immediately burst out laughing not knowing that they have created attention for themselves. Everyone in the room turned their heads and gaze at them with questioning eyes.  Realizing what had gone wrong Serena gasped and placed her palms on her mouth covering her mouth before muttering sorry to everyone while Alex didn't care as he rolled his eyes,

                      "They should learn to mind their business ".

He said and positioned himself well in his seat. James seeing the chemistry going on between the new guy and Serena became furious.  He felt cheated.

            "If you guys are here to laugh then you both should leave".

He pointed at the door as he said that, Serena gasped at James' unusual attitude but Alex wasn't left out because he is also out for war.

            " You don't have the authority or right to ask us to leave. We are meant to be here and am not leaving till I feel like it".

To show how serious he is Alex sat down on his chair as if he is a king. He wasn't going to tolerate any shit from anyone most especially James and if he persist then they would have to fight it out.  James kept glaring at Alex that if the eye could kill Alex would have been six feet down.

          "It's okay, this shouldn't call for a fight. She already apologized"

      Kelvin butt in trying to make the room a pleasant place for the two boys since they have already grabbed the attention of everyone in the room and if they continued the meeting won't hold as planned.

            "Yeah, Serena has already apologized yet he still makes a fuss about it".

It's at this point that James rushed in to punch Alex in the face if not for Golden that held him back from doing that.

          "James, what's wrong with you"?

Serena finally speaks up. This also concerns her and she didn't understand why James is trying to create drama for everyone in the room.

            "You want to know what's wrong with me? Then ask your new boyfriend to leave the room else am gonna show him what it means to make a fuss".

He said struggling to set himself free from Golden's grip but only to get dragged out of the class by Golden and him shouting like a psycho.

          "Okay everyone, this meeting is over any more information will be passed to you through your homeroom master/mistress.

Kelvin ended the meeting with a disappointed look on his face. Something that's meant to go so well or should I say was going so well but some people decided to disrupt it. He turned to look at Serena who is all gloomy.

        "Am sorry, I didn't know it would get this messy, I promise".

She apologized because she believed it was all her fault and that was the right thing to do. Alex frowned upon hearing her say that.

          "Stop being a goody-two-shoe, it's disgusting and also doesn't suit you".

Kelvin turned his gaze to the unfamiliar face with anger and distress.

    "Shouldn't you be the one doing what she is doing"?

And that is how another argument erupts between Kelvin and Alex. Students who were leaving for their classes had to stay back for another show. Some were supporting Alex, mostly the boys while others(girls) badmouth him for being a trouble maker.  So what's your point of view about him?

 

 

 

      I got home tired I just wanted to get some sleep but I couldn't because I had clothes to wash and I also couldn't seem to get what Linda

Said to me from my head. Guess what? After the incident at the meeting, I got an ear full from Linda, news just seems to pass fast in my school.

    Ella was backing me up but Linda felt that I was wrong and what I did wasn't right in any way but she's wrong cus I didn't do anything to deserve all these things from James. But is she right? I mean all these things she said about me and how I act, are they true?

      She kept on saying how stupid, ignorant, and dumb I am and how I keep acting like I could handle it when I can't. I entered my room and sat down on my mini bed which wouldn't accommodate more than one person and began to think about what Linda said.

The question here is, what does Linda Know that I don't, Is James hiding anything from me and how am I being self-centered?

      Me, not wanting to engage in any relationship in high school doesn't make me self-centered instead it makes me reasonable cus, young love and school love always end with heartbreak in school with bunch of teenagers passing through puberty and trying to release some hormones and am not going to be a victim or one of those teenagers who waste their parent's money and time. Moreover, I and James can never end up. I mean his rich, classic, and everything, and am poor, don't have any equity and what so ever. So what could he possibly gain for liking me he should just let it go.

      Deep down I felt hurt about all am saying but I couldn't bring myself to agree that I loved James and wanted more than friendship from him but knowing our class difference and how he is more better than I am and how he could easily let me go if he ever gets tired didn't allow me to agree with my feelings and it's for the best.

      I glanced at my dressing mirror and smiled. But I can never forget all he has done for me
