The sound echoed through the alleyway, intensifying the tension as everyone braced for the consequences of his actions.

He tucked her gun into his jeans, chuckling. "Now you all can arrest me with her. Hurry up... He needs to get hospitalized too."

She was seething with anger now. Turning around, she landed a hard punch on his face, causing him to stumble. She looked at him with disbelief when she saw him grinning.

Her blood boiled, and she grabbed his collar, pulling him towards her. "What do you want from me, huh? WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS??!!! CAN'T YOU JUST PULL YOUR ACT TOGETHER AND FUCK OFF??!!"

He began to speak, admiring her red face full of anger. "No... not yet ms. Fire. Let me make sure you're safe first."

In the background, the cop ordered another cop to arrest her and leave him before shouted again, "ARREST BOTH OF THEM FAST!"

She was furious, convinced he was pretending. Pretending to care for her. She lifted her hand again to punch him, but two cops held her hands, pulling her backwards.

They handcuffed her and started dragging her towards the car. She shrugged their hands off with a jerk and said, "I can walk by myself."

They directed her towards the car. Meanwhile, a cop was handcuffing his hand. He kept looking at her with a grin.

When she was about to enter the car, he called out, "HEY, MS. FIRE."

She yelled back, showing her frustration, "WHAT?"

He said with a sly smile, "You taste so good."

Speechless, she got into the car, still processing what she had heard just a moment ago.

"Seriously?," she muttered, feeling her cheeks heat up.

Ten minutes passed, and she was still thinking about him, the stranger... She couldn't figure out his intentions. What did he want from her? And what was the purpose behind his strange actions?

All those years, she had never felt someone was there for her, to help her get through all the crap of this cruel world. The betrayals she had endured made it hard for her to trust him. She wasn't ready to trust him, at least not yet.

All those moments she shared today with him started replaying in her mind. Then the kiss... His face... But suddenly, her mind stopped working for a second when she realized she had been kissed by a total stranger without her consent. And on top of that, rather than wanting to choke him to death, she was trying not to get him arrested with her? She felt dumb.

Lost in her thoughts, she suddenly noticed the road ahead. There was a lot of smoke... everything was blurry... All the cop cars came to a halt.

She mumbled to herself, "What's this new drama now?"

The smoke spread rapidly, engulfing everything in it's path. Nothing was visible, air grew heavy along with bad odour, causing the cops to cough and wheeze.

Coughing uncontrollably, the cops scrambled out of their vehicles, gasping for breath as they Stumbled onto the roadside.

Amidst the chaos, Y/n watched from the car, feeling bewildered and uncertain. One cop remained beside her, keeping a firm grip on her hand to prevent her from escaping. He pulled her out of the smoke, but suddenly, he was shot.

Y/n was startled, only realizing what had happened when he collapsed to the ground. The shooter had used a silencer.

"What a nice day," Y/n muttered to herself, shocked by the sudden turn of events.

Before she could process what had happened, someone grabbed her hand and pulled her out of the smoke. She looked up to see a masked figure, his identity concealed.

He guided her to safety, and as they reached a secure location, Y/n recognized him. "You again?" she exclaimed, her surprise evident.

Behind his mask, he smiled. "Recognized me so fast, huh? Seems like you're so in love with me too."
