The next few weeks are a rollercoaster. Enzo and Elena grow closer as he leans on her for support during his mother's illness. They share tender moments, stolen kisses, and late-night conversations that leave them both wanting more.

But just as they seem on the brink of admitting their feelings, tragedy strikes. Enzo's mother takes a turn for the worse and passes away suddenly.
Enzo is devastated.

At the funeral, he's a shell of himself, going through the motions with a blank expression. Elena stays by his side, offering silent support, her heart breaking for him.

After the service, Enzo disappears. Elena searches for him, finally finding him alone in his mother's garden. She approaches cautiously, unsure if he wants company.

"Enzo?" she says softly.
He doesn't turn around, his voice flat, almost angry when he speaks. "I'd like to be alone, Elena."

She hesitates, then nods even though he can't see her, her voice breaking. "Of course.... I'm here if you need me."

As she turns to leave, she hears him whisper, "I can't do this anymore."
Elena freezes, a chill running down her spine. She's not sure if he's talking about his grief or... them.

As Elena walked away from Enzo, Elena couldn't shake off the growing sense of unease that had settled in her heart. The weight of his words, "I can't do this," echoed in her mind, sending a shiver down her spine.

She couldn't pinpoint if he referred to his overwhelming grief or perhaps their budding relationship. As she moved away from him, she questioned whether she had the strength to withstand the uncertainty that now loomed over them. Deep down, she feared that their bond might not withstand the storm that had suddenly engulfed them. Worried for Enzo, she just left him alone as he requested.
