The interrogation room was stark and cold, with harsh overhead lighting that cast sharp shadows across the plain, metal table where the girl sat, her hands in handcuffs on the table. Across from her, the interrogator sat with a calm demeanor that only added to the tension in the room. His eyes bore into the girls.
She shifted uncomfortably in her chair, feeling the weight of the situation pressing down on her. Every sound-the ticking of the clock on the wall, the distant murmur of voices outside-seemed magnified, amplifying the sense of isolation and unease. Her palms were clammy, and she could feel a bead of sweat trickle down the back of her neck despite the cool air.
The interrogator leaned forward slightly, his voice measured and authoritative. "What's your name," he prompted, his tone implying both patience and insistence.
She swallowed hard, her throat suddenly dry. "My name is Lilac Blackwood, Princess of Planet Ophelia." Lilac said, trying to seem confident. The interrogator looked at the emerald haired zombie before turning to look at the girl. "You're a princess." Lilac nodded, as she tried to move her hands but they were cuffed.
The cuffs were nothing like the ones of her planet, they were much easier to break. "I must find my ship and go back to my home planet." Lilac didn't understand why she would want to go back to such a horrible place. But she must avenge her dead lover, a small frown appeared on her face as she looked at the interrogator.
Zed told her they were just going to ask questions and she needed to stay strong. And Lilac found peace in his voice and words, so she simply obeyed knowing she was safe with him then without. "Your ship?" The interrogator asked, looking at the girl, who took a shaky breath. "The meteor?" She nodded, hope glistening in her eyes.
"Can you bring me to it?" She asked, standing up the handcuff instantly breaking. Their eyes widened as the handcuff came undone.
"Please?" She begged, causing them to look at one another.
"It was destroyed during impact." The interrogator replied solemnly, their tone carrying the weight of finality. Lilac's heart sank at the confirmation of her worst fear. The meteor impact had destroyed her only means of returning home.
She clenched her fists, fighting back the surge of grief and frustration threatening to overwhelm her. The cuffs that had seemed so secure moments ago now lay broken on the table, a testament to her desperation to escape this place of pain and sorrow.
Zed, ever vigilant beside her, placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder. His touch grounded her, reminding her of the strength she found in his presence. "We will find another way," he murmured softly, his voice a soothing balm to her shattered resolve.
Lilac nodded, her gaze hardening with determination once more. "There has to be another way," she declared, her voice steady despite the turmoil inside her. "I won't give up."
The interrogator exchanged a glance with their colleague, uncertainty flickering in their eyes. The interrogation room door opened up, causing them to look at the people walking into the room. There stood a blonde, tall woman wearing all pink. And a brunette male with a wrinkly face, stood tall. Two men in full armor and guns pointed at Lilac. "What are you doing?" Zed asked, looking at the men.
"They are here for our protection." The brunette male said, looking at the zombie. Lilac glared at the red dots on her body, she poked it finding it funny how she wasn't grabbing it. Zed stood in front of her, blocking their shot. "You don't need those." He stated, causing Lilac to look up at him skeptical, she saw how uneased he felt from the dots that came from the guns.
Lilac raised her hand before yanking the guns out of their grasp. They fell to Zed's feet, Lilac giggled as she stared at them. "Great another superhuman. Okay, we just wanted to ask if there are more of you?" The blonde woman asked. "No. I...it's just me." The girl stammered, as she moved from behind the overly protective zombie.
