His baby

Chapter 26

It took a week before something major happened. Naruto couldn't really fault the universe for throwing something else at him but then again, he doesn't think the universe has any control over demons and their actions.

Kurama would be going home the next day with Nazume and Naruto wanted to send them both off with a nice dinner.

The boys would not be in attendance, and neither will anyone else other than Sasuke and a guard who would stand outside. Naruto had decided that they would eat in another smaller dining room. There was not a lot of room needed for four people and a table.

However, that would be tonight, it is still morning and he needed to be Queen for the day before he was host.

He had gotten ready. Dressed in a beautiful baby blue dress and a pair of flats to go with.

His first stop was to see Karuki and Sarada. He wanted to greet them good morning and feed them.

They had been moved to the nursery after they started sleeping through the night without any incidents. Naruto was devastated. His babies weren't near him at all times, but Sasuke had been the bigger person and forced him to do it. Saying that Naruto's attachment to them was becoming a problem for the staff who had to do their jobs.

So, Naruto did what he could to keep busy. He ran around the castle. Helping where he could, giving input here and starting up a little bit of trouble there.

It was around ten when he snuck off to one of the abandoned rooms to play poker with the Uchiha twins and two Uchiha woman.

Had some fun there taking everything. The only thing he didn't take was the clothes they were wearing but if Obito hadn't said they should stop they'd be going back to their rooms in nothing but their birthday suit.

He's done it before, so they knew he'd do it again without a care in the world.

Then just as the clock hit five, he went off to see Hinata and how she was doing.

He entered the medical ward and announced himself before pulling away the drapes.

She sat on the bed eating her meal all by herself. Naruto had Tsunade make some strong pain relievers and boosters to help Hinata heal faster without any drawbacks.

"My Queen," She greeted warmly.

"It's just us Hina. No need for formalities," Naruto said with a smile.

"Well, then. Hello Naruo. Please tell me that psycho is going home?" She asked harshly.

Naruto nodded his head and pursed his lips.

Hinata tilted her head to the side before asking, "What's wrong?"

"I want to talk to you about something. It's important," Naruto said.

"You're not pregnant again, are you?" She asked with a raised brow.

"What? No. No, I'm not pregnant again," Naruto said.

"Then what is it?"

"I'm overwhelmed," Naruto confessed.

"With what?"

"Guilt."

It was quiet before Hinata nodded for him to continue.

"I feel overwhelmed with guilt and sometimes I think it is going to drive me to death. Nazume is my sister and before she turned into this twisted beast of a woman, she was kind and caring and loving. She had nothing but love and care in her heart but somehow that turned into hate and bitterness. I know punishing her was the right thing. Kami knows she would have tried again if we didn't punish her but somewhere deep inside me it feels like the child the boy who was scared of the dark and loved indulging in too much chocolate is calling out to the little girl who would hold his hand as he walked through the dark corridors and sneak him some of her dessert chocolate even if it was her favorite part about dessert. I understand that she grew up and turned into this somehow, but I can't seem to get the image of my sister helping me hide the stray dog I found away from my parents because I cried when it was even mentioned that he needed to leave," Naruto said with his eyes downcast and his shoulders slumped.
