It was a nice sunny day. 3 kids were out in a playground. Katsuki, called 'Kacchan' by a certain little quirkless kid, discovered his quirk for the first time. Little popping sounds could be heard from his hands. His eyes gleamed with pride and his smile widened. "Look Deku! My quirk!" Katsuki showed 'Deku' who was also really excited. He was happy that his friend got a cool quirk. But when will he get his?

"Ken! Look at me! My quirk!" A little boy with gray hair on the other side of the playground heard Katsuki call for him. Kenji walked up and saw the little explosions popping in the palm of Katsuki's hand. "That's a cool quirk, Katsuki!" Kenji touched the explosions with the tip of his index finger. It didn't hurt him much but it felt warm.

"I'll be the number 1 hero in the world!" Katsuki exclaimed as both of his hands made slightly bigger explosions. "Don't brag that much, Kacchan! You'll have to get through me to become number 1!" Kenji stated then produced 2 plates of bones on his body.

Kenji Otsukotsu! Quirk: Bone! Kenji can make bones produce out of his body. He can also control bones in other people's bodies! His already existing bones can be largened! If he largens his bones, his skin, and muscles will expand and become elastic-like! His quirk relies on his vitamin D levels but when he uses the bone of others, he uses their vitamin D!

Kenji wore a grin on his face that pissed Katsuki off. "Just watch Kenji! I'll be the number 1 hero! I'll surpass All Might!" Katsuki proclaimed. All while this was happening, Izuku watched the two of them. His eyes sparkled with amazement as he saw their quirks in play. 'Kacchan and Ken's quirk is so cool!' Izuku said in his head.

"Why do I even ask?! Of course, all of you wanna be heroes!" The teacher at Aldera High exclaimed as he threw the papers in the air, which contained the future careers of the students. All the students went off to show off their quirk. All but Izuku. Who sat shyly in his chair. He felt small around them. Though even without a quirk, Izuku wanted to become a hero. With all of his heart, he does.

"Alright, calm down now. I know all of you have impressive quirks but we're still in class. No power usage in school." The teacher said as the students stopped their quirks. "Don't lump me in with this bunch of losers. I'm the real deal but these guys will be lucky to end up as sidekicks to some busted D-lister." Katsuki bragged. Though it was sort of true. He had been training extensively for a little while now. He had the best chance to become a full-fledged Pro-Hero out of everyone here. Everyone was mad about this but not in shock, this was honestly normal for Bakugo. 'Just wait, Ken. I'll become number 1.' Katsuki held his promise to Ken since that monumental day.

"You have very impressive test results. Maybe you will get into U.A. high." Bakugo smirked hearing the teacher's comments about his score. The students around him were shocked. Most of them wanted to be a hero, yes. But most will go into a small hero school. U.A. was an extremely hard school to get into. With a 0.2% acceptance rate. 6 hero courses in all 3 levels and 20 students each. They only accepted 40 students for the hero course every year. And the rest goes into General Studies.

"I ace all the mock tests! I'm the only one at this school who stands a chance of getting in!" Katsuki proclaimed to the class. "But Otsukotsu also got into U.A.! He was the highest-scoring examinee since ALL MIGHT!" One of his goons replied. Katsuki was visibly ticked off at the mention of Kenji's name. "Tch! That bastard isn't human. Of course, he'll get in." Katsuki said with gritted teeth. If only he was a year older. Then he would be with Kenji in U.A. Training under the best of the best. His 'rivalry' with Kenji was weird. It was obvious that Kenji was ahead of him, even Katsuki admitted it. But he keeps going and saying that they're a tie. Or that Katsuki was ahead of him.
