Couldn't pass up an excuse to gush about them

-Childhood friends, met in Battery City when they were much younger and bonded despite being very different.

-I'll expand on their backstories and upbringings more in separate chapters I think

-The gist though is that Fun was always the "smart kid", valued very much by teachers and adults but possessing little to no social skills. He only spoke when necessary and isolated himself from others.

-Party on the other hand was always a loose cannon, and known by everyone as a troublemaker. All of his peers were told to stay away from him, so he didn't have any real friends despite being a lot more upbeat and sociable.

-they bonded over their loneliness and came to understand each other in a way they felt not many others could, but it didn't last long, at least not in their early years. Party just couldn't stay in BC anymore.

-Fun's upbringing still affects him a lot. He feels like a disappointment, has very high standards for himself + emotional issues galore, and struggles to socialize.

-Party's one of the only people who really understands why he is the way he is, having seen him through a very harsh childhood. Deep down, Fun's still an awkward kid who was never reached out to beyond having pressure applied to be a certain way.

-Fun has a hard time expressing his feelings verbally; especially when it comes to serious or sensitive issues. He tends to seize up and is unable to force himself to say anything. Then he'll just dismiss the conversation and walk away.

-He works around it by communicating through writing (I mentioned that earlier methinks) scribbling notes on scratch paper or napkins or magazine pages and handing them to Party. He articulates things better when he 1. Doesn't have to speak them out loud and 2. Has time to think about how he wants to put things.

-Party keeps all of them in a shoebox by his bed and reads through them sometimes, especially when the two of them are apart for whatever reason. He likes the feeling of holding Fun's thoughts in his hands.

-They're simultaneously the most loving and argumentative pair you'll ever meet in your life. They'll go from sucking face and holding hands and speculating about their wedding, to spouting the most ungodly profanities you've ever heard at one another over a videogame, like nothing at all.

-They're both quite competitive and butt heads sometimes. They have very different ways of doing certain things, and get frustrated with each other when they feel they aren't being heard. They always talk through it later on when they've calmed down and it rarely, if ever, escalates into a full-on fight.

-Fun can't handle being yelled at (not directly or in a serious manner, at least. Some yelling in combat or over something minor is fine.) No matter on what or how extensively they're disagreeing, even if he starts raising his voice first, Party never does.

-Physical touch is a big love language for them both. Living in circumstances where it'd be so easy for any of them to die, the feeling of each others' body heat, the sounds of their hearts still pumping, the rise or the fall of their chests as they breathe, are deeply soothing.

-Party's the only person alive who's allowed to touch Fun's hair or move his bangs out of his face. He takes advantage of this and always finds an excuse to mess with it- brushing, combing, braiding, putting it into stupid little hairstyles, or just running his fingers through it.

-they want to get married one day, not so much because they care about tradition- more so they want to give Kobra an excuse to organize a banger event to invite their friends to, and be able to solidify their relationship. They refer to themselves as husband and wife as a joke a lot, though.

-they keep their own spaces but spend the night in each others' rooms more often than not.

-they're both giant nerds- they have a shared comic collection and fantasize about how awesome the Killjoy D&D campaign will be when they have the supplies for it.

-they're the people who will not shut up while watching a movie or reading a book. They gossip like wine aunts watching Real Housewives and it just does not end.
