Frost's POV

"Time for training!" Lynx's Mom, Frost said. "Okaay! Let's do this," Lynx sighed. Frost smiled at her. She was proud of Lynx for being so dedicated. She would have let Lynx take a rest after her quest to the other continent(Frost couldn't believe it when she first heard the news!) but Lynx had seemed so distracted lately that Frost wanted to take her mind off of things. Frost was in the Advising Council to Queen Snowfall, as it was a very prestigious job and Tundra had been infuriated when Queen Snowfall rejected her and accepted Frost instead. Why am I even thinking about this?  Frost thought to herself.

For a long time, Frost had known that Lynx had a strong connection to Tundra's son, Winter. After Winter was banished, she would find Lynx staring at the Border of the Ice Kingdom. She remembered when Lynx and Winter were younger they would play in the snow for hours on end. Winter made Lynx so happy, and from what Frost could see of Winter was that Lynx made him happy too. Frost hoped that Tundra wouldn't change Winter like she did to her daughter Icicle. Frost could remember when Icicle was little she would be so sweet to everyone and everyone she met was charmed! But as she grew older, she became bratty and spoiled, harsh and rude.

Frost sighed, then decided to focus on her daughter who was patiently waiting for her. "Mom?" Frost spun around and grinned at her daughter. "Actually, let's skip training today, wanna get some snow cones?" Lynx's jaw dropped. "Who are you and what have you done with my mother?" Lynx grabbed Frost's talon, "Come on, let's go before you change your mind!" Frost let out a laugh and flew with her daughter to their favorite snow cone stand.

Winter's POV

I beat my wings as fast as I could, I was nearing the Ice Kingdom. I heard peals of laughter. I narrowed my eyes, as an Icewing I could see very far. I smiled when I realised that the sound had come from a familiar face that I was yearning to see. It was Lynx and her mother, getting snow cones. I was about to fly in, but I hesitated as I realised it had been so long since I had done anything normal like getting snow cones and the last person I had done that with was ....... A great idea struck me and I flew off towards the Icewing Palace. Looking back, that was a good move after all it wouldn't be very romantic if I confessed to Lynx in front of her mom. Lynx was having a family moment with her mom that I had never gotten, but I was about to get something just as good!

(Time skip to Winter arriving at the Ice Palace) "I'm coming, I'm coming!" a voice grumbled. A tall Icewing opened the door while rubbing sleep out of his eyes, "Excuse me, but you needn't have knocked so many times I- wait, Winter? Winter!" Hailstorm wrapped his big wings around his little brother. "I can't believe you finally visited!!" It's been weeks since Snowfall pardoned you!" Hailstorm cried. "I've been meaning to visit for weeks, but it's just been so busy at Sanctuary!" Winter told Hailstorm. "Come in!" Hailstorm beckoned to Winter. "Wow!" Winter stared at the room. There were paintings covering every wall. One had Winter's face on it with words underneath saying, Family. Winter felt tears forming in his eyes but blinked them away. There were little squares with painted memories of the two of them playing in the snow, catching seals, carving ice sculptures. "Do you like them?" Hailstorm whispered to Winter, not wanting to shatter the silence. "Hailstorm-I," Winter had no words. This time it was Winter who turned around and tackle-hugged Hailstorm. "Does that answer your question?" Hailstorm nodded. "Hailstorm, I never knew you were such an artist!"

"Neither did I! But during one of Snowfall's speeches about taking down the Ice barrier and stuff like that, I got a little bored and started sketching some designs in the snow and Lynx saw me and asked her Rainwing friend Pineapple who went on the quest with her to export some berry paint to the Ice Kingdom!"

"Wow, Lynx really did all that?"

"Yeah, though she did have one request, she wanted me to paint a portrait of a "friend" " Hailstorm winked at Winter.

"Uhm, why did you say friend so weirdly? Who was it anyway?" Winter asked, confused.

Hailstorm sighed. "Winter, I don't think the dragon is just a friend to her."

"Who is it?" Winter pressed.

"I think you should ask her yourself." Halitorm refused to answer.

"By the way, Hailstorm do you want to make another memory for you to paint?"
"Sure thing, Winter." He replied.

"Come on, then!" Winter went to Hailstorm's window.

"Winter, can't we just go through the door? Where are we even going?" Hailstorm whined.

"Nope! It's been so long since we've done this! You'll see when we get there!"

"Exactly! I doubt I'll be able to even fit!" Hailstorm replied.

"Just try! I'll be waiting right outside your window!"

"Wait-" Winter jumped out the window into a flurry of snow.

Hailstorm peeked out anxiously. "You got this! It might be better if you get a running start!" Winter yelled.

Hailstorm walked backwards and then ran and dived through the window gracefully.

He flapped his wings joining Winter in the sky. "So now will you tell me where we're going?

"When I saw your memory squares, I noticed that you didn't have one of us now and I thought maybe we can get snow cones?" Winter asked.

Hailstorm lit up at that. " What are you waiting for? Let's go!"

(They fly)

"Prince Hailstorm, what has brought you to my humble little snow cone cart?" An Icewing asked. "You know you can drop the act around me, Bear. This is my little brother, Winter!" Hailstorm exclaimed. "Oh good, you know how I feel about fancy royals and politics! Are you here to actually get snow cones or just to see me?" Bear asked teasingly.

"Does he do that often?" Winter wondered. Hailstorm blushed when Bear nodded. A big grin erupted onto Winter's face. "So what flavors would you guys like?" Ever since Queen Snowfall had brought down the wall, other tribes had come flooding in with trades, gifts, and plans for things like expanding Jade Mountain. The Rainwing tribe had brought berries and paint. The Icewings soon discovered that if you mashed the berries up the juice would come out and flavor whatever you wanted it to. "I have cherry, strawberry, watermelon, passion fruit, mango, and pineapple!" Bear offered, looking through his cart. "I'll get watermelon." Hailstorm decided. "Cherry, please." Winter chose. Winter noticed Hailstorm staring at Bear intently. "Why are you staring at him like that?" Winter whispered. "Huh?" Hailstorm jumped back. "Just for the memory square, I want to get every detail right!" Something about Hailstorm's expression......
