Lynxter Lovestory + Oneshots (Lynx x Winter)

Chapter 3

After Hailstorm and Winter finished their snowcones, they decided to tell Queen Snowfall of Winter's visit. On their way back, Winter tried to get Hailstorm to tell him what was going on between him and Bear. "So, what's up with you and Bear?" Hailstorm frowned at Winter. "Nothing!" Winter felt a bit skeptical about that statement. "Look Winter, I've been kind of been helping Bear with something, and it's kind of personal to him." Hailstorm explained. Winter understood and let it go. Soon after they arrived at the palace. The two of them went straight to the Throne Room. "Business with the Queen?" A guard stopped them before they could enter. "Talking?" Winter tried. The guard threw him a disdainful look. Hailstorm sighed and stepped in, "Royal visit from family," The guard nodded and let them pass. 

"Talking?" Hailstorm imitated Winter's voice, not very well. Winter gave Hailstorm a playful shove a bit too hard and he fell flat on his face just as they entered, right in front of the queen, aka their dear cousin. Snowfall let out a snort. 

"Winter, don't treat your elders like that!" Snowfall managed to say before she burst into laughter. Hailstorm made a grumpy expression that only made Winter laugh even more. "Winter!! It's so good to see you again. How is Sanctuary?" Snowfall asked. Winter smiled, "We actually just added some new buildings there."

 Snowfall bounded over to Winter and whispered, "Have you visited Lynx yet? She misses you!" Hailstorm, who was close enough to hear burst into laughter. "He's too shy to visit her, 'cause he liiikes her!" He told Snowfall, causing Winter to blush. "How do you know I like Lynx?" Winter asked, genuinely confused. Hailstorm rolled his eyes, "It's super obvious," Snowfall agreed. Snowfall gasped, "If you're too shy to visit her, I'll make you! Let's play Snowdestruct in the courtyard! Lynx and I will be on one team and you and Hailstorm will be on the other team. If I win, you will go to Lynx and confess to her how you feel, if you win, you can make Hailstorm and I do any punishment you want."

 Hailstorm frowned, "Why am I being dragged into the punishment?" Snowfall rolled her eyes, "Because I said so!" Winter sighed, "Deal!" Snowfall and Hailstorm grinned. "I'm going to get Lynx," Snowfall said before flying out the window. "See, Snowfall can fly out the window!" Winter told Hailstorm. Soon, Winter and Hailstorm saw two figures flying towards them. "Winter!!!!!" Lynx yelled as she flew in through the window. Lynx bounded over to him and wrapped her wings around him. "It's been so long since we've met!" Winter smiled at her. "Yeah, Sanctuary was pretty busy." Snowfall turned to them, "Are you guys ready for the most epic game of Snowdestruct?!" Everyone yelled Yeah! and they flew out into the courtyard. 

"So the rules of Snowdestruct is each team builds a snow fort and the other team tries to get to it and break it apart. Each team is also supposed to make obstacles to slow down the other team from getting to the fort. One dragon can be guarding the fort, one dragon can be destruct the other team's fort. If someone gets a hit on your fort you can't rebuild it back. You win when the other team's fort is completely broken." Snowfall explained. 

Everyone nodded and took their halves of the courtyard and started building their forts and obstacles. 

"Hailstorm, you can make the fort and I'll make the obstacles." Winter said and Hailstorm nodded. Winter started by making a snow wall but when that took too long he decided to leave half the snow wall there and use some ice to make it slippery. Winter went back to the fort and saw Hailstorm just sitting there. 

"Hailstorm! Why aren't you building the fort?" Hailstorm shrugged. "If we win, you're gonna punish us." Winter sighed. "If you help me make the fort then I won't give you any punishment." Hailstorm's eyes lit up, "What are you waiting for? Let's get to work!" He said gathering a bunch of snow. The two started building their fort.

 "Winter, I'll stay here to defend the fort and you can go destroy theirs." Winter nodded. "We're ready!" Lynx called out. The two teams met in the center. "We'll wait five seconds and then the two attackers will start." Hailstorm said. Lynx and Hailstorm walked back to their respective forts. "5, 4, 3, 2, 1, GO!!!!" Everyone yelled. 

Winter tried to tackle Snowfall out of the way but she shoved him to the side. Winter got up and ran to the fort. Winter punched the snow wall down. He suddenly slipped on a big piece of ice. "Woah!" He yelled. Winter got back on his feet and started towards the fort, where Lynx was waiting with many, many snowballs in her talons. "Hah!!" Lynx cried as she started throwing them at Winter. "AAH!" Winter yelled as he got pummelled by snowballs. 

Eventually Lynx ran out of snowballs. She dove for some more just as Winter ran towards the fort and the two crashed into each other. Winter tried to push Lynx off but she pinned him down. "Not so fast, Winter." Lynx said. Then she looked at Winter who was doing a very cute face, in Lynx's opinion. Winter took advantage of her distraction and flipped her over. He tried to run to the fort but Lynx grabbed his tail and stopped him. Then they heard Snowfall call out, "I won!!! The fort is destroyed!" Winter growled. 

"Winter, you know what that means!" Lynx frowned. "What does that mean?" She wondered. Winter blushed, "Lynx, can I talk to you?" He asked. "I have some royal matters to attend to, come on Hailstorm!" Snowfall and Hailstorm flew away. 

"Lynx, we've been friends for a really long time," Winter started. "Yeah, go on." Lynx said. "When I left to go to Sanctuary, I realised how much I missed you. I couldn't stop thinking about you. That's when I realised, that I want to be with you. You make me feel like a worthy dragon, you've always had my back, and I care so much about you." Winter stopped. "If you'll have me, I would love to bring you out for a date." 

Lynx looked up at Winter and he saw that her eyes were shining. "Winter, I-" Lynx had no words so she decided not to say anything. She wrapped her wings around Winter and leaned up and touched her snout to his. The two twined their tails together. "I think that's a yes," Winter smiled. Lynx laughed. "Yes, that's definitely a yes." Winter gazed into Lynx's eyes. "So what's gonna happen to us? Are you going back to Sanctuary?" Lynx questioned. "I don't know, but I'm definitely gonna enjoy this moment right now." Winter replied. 

                                  The two flew towards the palace, talon in talon.
