Summary:

Meeting with the lady is not what you expected. Many surprising things happen during said meeting that will change your life in the castle.

Chapter 2

Walking through the castle at night would usually earn you a trip to the cellar for the daughters to "play" with. Tonight however it seems that not even they are lurking around, it makes me feel a little sad. I mean of course they are flesh eating flies but it's not their fault they need to consume human flesh to survive, but at the moment even their presence would ease my nerves. This only adds to the strange things that have been happening around the castle lately, well strange things only I have seemed to notice at least. The other members of the staff were not as forthcoming with their thoughts on the matters all except for one, Nicole she has become my best friend in this place. Nicole and I arrived at the castle around the same time except she came on her own I told her she was crazy but she didn't really have a answer as to why she was here so I just brushed it off, but lately she's been very distant with me only ever talking to me at night about the things the Dimitrescu matriarch have been doing for me.

As I come to Lady Dimitrescu's door I notice how intricate the design is. The lady's wing of the castle has always fascinated me and sometimes I just can't help but venture here to admire the beauty of it. Although I have been in this wing a lot I've never been inside of her private chambers it makes my heart beat rapidly and my cheeks have a pink tinge on them. Straightening out my dress preparing to knock when a deep but sweet sultry voice that could only belong to the lady addresses me.

"Come in pet"

Calming my racing heart before turning the knob and pushing the door open. Entering the room I can't help but gawk at it, the room alone has to take up at least half of the top floor and the furniture all of it must have been custom built to fit the lady's large stature. I must have overlooked the lady while staring at the room because a clearing of her throat snaps me out of my head, turning around I see the lady sitting at a table with a bottle of wine and glasses already filled. Not wanting to be rude I curtsy a little before closing the door waiting on her to give me any instructions.

"M'lady you wanted to see me"

"Yes dear come here and take a seat"

Walking over to the chair opposite the lady I can't help but notice that it's the same size as hers I give her a look but she just raises a eyebrow in a "I dare you" type a way and let's just say trying to climber up into the chair was not easy. When I'm finally seated the lady lets out a little chuckle making me feel embarrassed causing me to look away from her. After her little laugh she picks up both glasses of wine before handing me one taking it I don't know what to do since I've never drunk wine before or any alcohol before so I sit it back on the table.

"Don't you know it's rude not to accept things when you're offered especially when it's a very good brand of my latest wine."

"No m'lady I don't mean to be rude it's just I've never had wine before."

"Oh well even better my dear you must try this one. I tried a new recipe and grapes, but no rush you can drink it throughout our meeting."

"Yes m'lady I will drink it just a bit nervous is all. But if I may ask what is it you needed to discuss with me." I say before taking a sip of the wine and I must admit it doesn't taste as bad as I thought it would it tastes so rich and sweet with a hint of something I can't place. Looking at the lady from my peripheral vision I see her staring intently at me as I drink but I pay it no mind.

"Yes dear. I'm sure you have notice the gifts that I have been giving you. Yes?"

"Of course m'lady I have noticed but why."
