Third Person POV
The lush countryside stretched out before Empori, a stark contrast to the oppressive atmosphere of the village she had fled. As she cradled her newborn children in her arms, she felt a profound sense of relief wash over her. After the harrowing ordeal under Mother Miranda's "care," this secluded community offered a sanctuary, a chance to start anew.
Empori had named her quadruplets with great care - Elijah, Lena, Ezra, and Amara. Each child possessed a unique personality that she cherished, a testament to the resilience of the human spirit. Elijah, the eldest, had a quiet contemplative nature, often lost in thought. Lena, the second-born, radiated a fierce determination that would undoubtedly serve her well in the years to come. Ezra, with his inquisitive mind and boundless curiosity, was always eager to explore the world around him. And Amara, the youngest, exuded a gentle warmth that soothed Empori's weary soul.
As the children grew, Empori poured her heart into nurturing them, shielding them from the shadows of her past. She taught them the value of honesty, the strength of family, and the importance of resilience in the face of adversity. Though the weight of her exile lingered, Empori found solace in the laughter and joy her children brought to her daily life.
In the secluded village, Empori's quadruplets flourished, their curiosity and wonder unhindered by the constraints of the world they had fled. They ran through the lush meadows, climbed towering trees, and swam in the crystalline streams that dotted the landscape. Empori watched with pride as they discovered the beauty of the natural world, unaware of the treacherous events that had led them here.
Yet, the specter of the past could not be entirely erased. As the years passed, Empori found herself increasingly drawn to the distant horizon, her gaze fixed on the direction of the village she had once called home. She knew that the truth of her exile could not remain hidden forever, and the thought of her former life and the loved ones she had left behind weighed heavily on her heart.
Back in the village Alcina was still none the wiser about Empori's survival matter of fact none of them knew what happened to her it had been 19 years since they last saw her. Although Nicole believed her plan worked she was still not as successful in capturing the Lady's heart as she had hoped. Yes, she was now married to Alcina. Yes she sleeps with her and share sleeping quarters but she doesn't feel any of the love the Lady expressed towards Empori. She hasn't even been able to get pregnant and produce an heir as the Lady likes to put it. After all she did to get here she's started to wonder if it was all for nothing.
After begging her mother for more responsibilities Bela was tasked with cleaning up the old servants wing along with her sisters. Twenty nine rooms later and they are finally at the last one. They all hesitate before going in knowing this used to be your room, but also knowing they must finish their task since it's getting chilly. Pushing into the room it's filled with dust but seems frozen in time with all of you belongings as if you never left. It was hard to take you and give you to Mother Miranda but it was an order one they couldn't disobey, but they always felt like something was off about the entire situation so much so they've had secret conversations about it amongst themselves. The Empori they knew was not a liar.
With the room finished Daniela always the playful one decided to try to lighten the mood by throwing a pillow at Cassandra. Cassandra always the overachiever went along with it, but what started out as a harmless pillow fight soon turned into a sickle fight. Bela was about to tell them to stop when she noticed that in the middle of their battle they managed to move a piece of the wall being the explorer she is she moved the piece and found a chest.
"Dani, Cass look" she states gaining their attention.
"What's that Bels" Dani says earning a glare from the blonde
"Yeah open it already" Cass deadpans
Opening the small chest she pours the contents on the bed while Cassandra lights the fireplace to the chagrin of her sisters. Inside they she a book/journal, small pouch, camera, and a little white and blue stick. Confused they go for the journal first deciding to read the last couple of pages and what they read filled them with so much anger and sadness.
"I knew it!!! I knew she was innocent!!!" Bela yells slamming the book closed.
"She did all of this over jealousy. Empori died for nothing." Cassandra seethes.
"She was pregnant for real. We were going to have another sibling. How could she do that to Mother, us, and especially someone who thought she was their friend?" Daniela
"We need to tell mother now." Bela says and they agree leaving the room.
