CHAPTER THREE

HAROLD'S POV
So, apparently Trent is making a band...and he wants me in it! I mean Cody helped a dude out and recommended me to Trent, which was supes cool of him! I showed Trent and Justin my mad skills and they let me in. It's just the four of us; Trent, Justin, Cody, and I. We're planning on a name, but can't really decide.

"What about some cheesy, cringey shit?" Cody asked. "Like...I don't even know, just something so stupid it's funny."

"I say we go for something that shows off all our personalities," Justin said.

"Soo...Boring Highschoolers?" Cody asked. "Some name, Justin."

Justin rolled his eyes at Cody's remark.

"I say we do a nerdy name," I told them. "If you can't deny the weird kid rumors, then accept them!"

"So like, Kool Kids, or something like that?" Cody asked.

"That's a shit name," Justin said blandly.

The two of them argued back and forth. I looked over at Trent who was deep in thought.

"Do you have an idea, Trent?" I asked him.

"Naw, it's stupid..." he mumbled.

"No, share!" Cody insisted. "We can't think of anything else..."

"I was thinking something like...'The Drama Brothers,'" Trent shared. "I dunno, it's not the best."

"Dude, it's perfect," I reassured Trent. "I think that should be the band name."

"Agreed," Justin said.

"You sure we can't take the name Weezer?" Cody joked with a grin. "I like 'The Drama Brothers.' Who knows, maybe we will get in a bunch of drama this year."

We all grinned and laughed. Maybe we would...

GEOFF'S POV
Bridgette and I were going around putting up posters for the mad, wicked, AWESOME party I was hosting tonight.

I mean, it's the first day of school! Why wouldn't I host a party? My girl Bridge was so sweet to help me out with this. She was always there for me, even when I'm in the wrong.

"Thanks again, Bridgette," I told her kissing her head.

"Aw, of course, Geoff!" she exclaimed. "It's always nice to help someone out. Especially if that someone is you!"

DJ'S POV
Dunc and I were walking to our Study Hall, talking about the party tonight. Word gets around fast here. It seemed like Duncan was pretty excited for it!

"Yeah, man, I'm so ready for tonight!" he exclaimed. "I'm so pumped, dude!"

"That's great, Dunc," I told him. "I dunno if I'm gonna go yet. I did promise Geoff I would bake some food for the party, though."

"Dude, you gotta come! Everyone loves you, man! They'd all be so sad if you didn't!"

"Didn't take you for the sentimental type."

"I'm not sentimental. I never said anything about myself. Only others."

"But you would be sad if I didn't go too, right?" I grinned.

Duncan just scoffed and walked into a study area.

He would be sad, too.

NOAH'S POV
I was, once again, enduring one of Courtney's many yap sessions. They seemed to never end. And this time, it was about the party.

"I don't really know what to wear!" she told me. "I mean of course it's only a party, but I still want to look good! But then again, it's only a party. I shouldn't go all out. Then I could possibly be made fun of. I want to avoid that this year."

"Just wear whatever, Court," I told her. "It really doesn't matter."

"Well, what are you wearing?"

I chuckled. "I'm not going."

"Yes, you are," she said sternly. "I'll come over at 6:30 and force you into something decent. Then we can leave by 7:30 and get there in time!"

I sighed, defeated. "Sure. Why not."

We walked into a study area and sat down. I glanced over and saw Duncan sitting at a table with Dj. Strange pair, those two. A shitty jerk whose best friend is the sweetest guy on planet Earth.

I shook my head and returned my gaze to Courtney, who was biting the eraser on her pencil and appeared to be planning her outfit for the party.

"Take it easy, Court," I told her. "Like you said: 'It's only a party.'"

She nodded, but didn't seem to change her demeanor at all.

After a few moments of silence, a chair rolled over to our table. I looked up to see Duncan, a smug look on his face. He wasn't even looking my way. His whole body was turned to Courtney. Courtney looked at him with wide eyes, looked at me, and then back at him.

"Courtney, right?" Duncan asked. I looked back at his table to see Dj holding his head in his hands, shaking his head. "Whaddya say we go out sometime?" He grinned at Courtney, getting a little closer.

"Um, what?" Courtney asked. "Leave me alone, creep. FYI: this is not how you ask out a girl. Maybe some other girl with really low standards would give you a...chance. I don't even know if she'd make it past the first date, though." Courtney rolled her eyes at Duncan before continuing her schoolwork.

Duncan just chuckled softly. "Alright, I'll see you at the party, then." He rolled back over to his own table.

"Does this mean we're not going to the party anymore?" I asked her.

"I am not letting that jerk ruin my plans," she said coldly. I let out a groan.

SIERRA'S POV
A party...? A small smile spread across my face as I read the poster. This would be fun...

EEEEE!! I COULD GET THE GIRLS TOGETHER AND WE COULD ALL GO!!! Ohmygosh, I could. Not. WAIT!!!! I had to text the group chat right NOW.

'THE GIRLS' GROUP CHAT

Sierra: GIRLZZZ!!!! DID U HEAR ABT THE PARTY 2NIGHT????

Lindsay: yeah! it sounds like fun!

Beth: o.m.g yeah!!!!!!!!! i cant wait!! >v<

Katie: OBVS!!!!! me and sadie are 100% going!!!!!!

Sierra: kk, i was thinking that we ALL going 2 the party as a group!!!!!

Sadie: OMGGGG!!!! me and katie can TOTES do that!!!!!

Lindsay: let me ask tyler real quick!! i dont know if he said he wanted to go with me or not

LINDSAY'S POV

Lindsay: were we planning on going to the party together tonight? sorry if you already told me

Tyler: no linds its okay!! i just found out about the party earlier so i hadnt said anything to you about it yet :)

Lindsay: oh okay!!! is it alright if i go with the girls??

Tyler: yeah of course!! no need to ask for that linds❤️

Lindsay: yay!!!! thank you love! i'll see you there, though!!!❤️
