In the cold breeze of night, the exclusively costly and branded car rushed over the road. It was about 5-6 kilometres away from their destination. After taking a flight from Mumbai to Punjab (Jalandhar), the sixteen year old girl had asked her parents for a car ride from Jalandhar To Nawan Pind Sardaran

The girl, giggling and laughing with her parents in their car, where her father was in the passenger seat, beside the driver while her mother was with her in the back seat. The trio were enjoying their own time with each other.

It was like a dream came true for that girl !

Spending her vacation at her maternal grandparent's place which was the village in punjab ( Nawan Pind Sardaran), was the only thing she had asked for, from her parents who were adamant at the beginning of not going there but later on, seeing her sad and gloomy face, both mother and father agreed on it. But her elder brother, who wasn't so keen on spending his vacation in the village and disliked the Idea stayed back at home with his friend.

" Mumma, please stop here," the girl requested as she looked outside with an excitement, reaching in her eyes as they sparkled with new found surroundings. It was her first time visiting here. Though it was the night, still she managed to look through the dark and enjoy the view of the surrounding which wasn't like the place where she lived, back in Mumbai.

Smiling at her excitement, her mother's face brightened more as she pulled her daughter back, surrounding her arms around the girl.

" Let me see, mumma," the girl cried out as she struggled to pull away.

" Aadhu, you shouldn't peep through the moving vehicle's window," her mother instructed, as she stroked her hair lightly.

" Then stop the car," suggested the girl, looking at her father who turned around and looked at mother and daughter.

" It's not right to stop in the middle, Aadhu," her father told her on which she pouted, " It's a highway !"

" Please, Papa" the girl requested with her pleading eyes as she plastered the expression which always works.

" Aadhu baby, your father is right," came the voice from the driver's place as their driver gave a quick glance at the back seat before shifting his attention back on the road. " It's a highway. There are chances of getting our car crushed in the middle of the road if we stopped."

" It won't take too long, Kaka," said the girl. " Just fifteen minutes is all I ask."

Both mother and father shared a look while the driver shook his head, knowing how stubborn their Aadhu baby was !

" Ranjit, just stop the car where you feel safe to stop," ordered her father, at which the girl jumped on her seat in excitement who was still in her mother's arms.

" Veer, sometimes you should learn to say no to this girl," her mother yelled at her father who smiled back. " Already she has become so stubborn."

" If you start being strict with Vihaan," her father began as the girl guessed what was on the way when she saw her mother rolling her eyes at her father's words," then I won't give in to all her demands." Her father pointed at her.

" Yesterday I forgot to inform you both," something struck in her mind as she heard her brother's name. " My best friend, Aarohi, likes Vihaan bhai."

" And who told you this," her mother was the first one to react. While her father keenly listened to their talks.

" Rian," was her simple reply.
