Twisting the key in the knob of the small, hood and ghetto house kali and her boyfriend duke shared, she stepped in as the door swung open making sure to flip the locks.
The first scent that hit her nose was fish mixed with weed causing her face to automatically scrunch up, sliding her shoes off she saw the unfamiliar shoes that sat on the tray.
As she walked deeper into the entrance hallway, she heard the sound of loud music coming from the upstairs area, humming along to a melody that she was singing in her head as she made a mental reminder to change and shower because it was raining outside, and she got wet.
Walking into the shared master bedroom, the first this she saw was a girl riding her boyfriend in her bed " WHAT THE FUCK!" kali yelped as the girl hurried to get under the blanket and duke pulled up his pants " shit, baby it's not what it looks like " he exclaimed trying to grab her hand.
" Hell, no duke get the fuck off of me" she exclaimed loudly, slapping his hand away instead of spazzing out she just went back downstairs slipped her shoes on and as soon as she put her hand on the knob she felt a yank to her hair.
" bitch " punch " you " slap " never " kick " leaving " slammed, he rapidly hit her until they ended up in a choke hold against the wall, " make sure you cover this shit up " duke said letting her go.
kali looked down at her limp body knowing that these bruises would last a long time, she dragged herself down the hall and to the bathroom not even wanting to try the pain that would come with walking.
looking at herself in the mirror she picked up off the counter seeing her reflection with a bloody nose, knots and bruises.
picking up the rubbing alcohol, she pulled the pack of three hundred cotton balls, pouring the liquid on the cotton swab.
rubbing it on her skin she felt an instant tingling sensation.
