It All Started with a Massage (part 3)

(a few days later)

Charlie's POV
This has all happened so fast... Less than two weeks ago Nick was my straight best friend and now he's my bisexual boyfriend and we've lost our virginity to each other.

The news spread quickly around the school and with Nick being suspended for punching Harry I've had to deal with it all by myself.

The day after we had sex for the first time I went straight round Nick's after school nearly in tears. He hugged me tightly and had asked me what was wrong. I rambled on for ages about how people saw me limping around and it didn't take them long to work out why.

Nick's POV
Everyone is staring at me as I walk into Truham after being suspended for a week. They quickly look away when I glare at them. I was expecting this, I can handle this but I'm so worried for Charlie.

I start to wonder if outing us as boyfriends so quickly was a bad idea. Although after what happened on the rugby pitch there would have been speculation anyway.

I walk into form and sit down next to Charlie. He smiles at me weakly and as I lean in to kiss his cheek I feel him tense up.
"What's wrong?" I whisper. He looks up and I follow his eyes, everyone is looking at us.
"They all know we've..." He whispers.

I look around the room and everyone is sniggering and whispering behind their hands.
"Ignore them, Char..." I whisper as I take his hand under the desk and squeeze it gently.
"I'm so glad you're back." He whispers, smiling at me.

Charlie's POV
I try my best to concentrate on reading my maths work but I feel eyes on me.
"I bet you're the bottom, Spring!" A boy shouts from across the room when the teacher leaves briefly and everyone starts laughing. Tears begin to fill my eyes.
"Charlie..." Tao says quietly, putting his hand on my arm.

"I can't believe the nerd got laid!" Another boy shouts and the laughter becomes louder. I stand up and quickly leave the classroom, tears rolling down my cheeks.
"You're all dickheads!" Tao shouts as he follows me.

I run into the boys toilet and go into a stall, locking the door behind me. I sit down on the toilet and begin to sob, my head in my hands.
"Charlie?" I hear Tao call. "Charlie let me in please..." I unlock the door and he throws his arms around me, hugging me tightly.

"Just ignore them Charlie... It's none of their business." Tao says softly.
"They haven't stopped all week!" I sob.
"It will die down soon..."
"I hope so..."
"Give me your phone."

Nick's POV
Sat in science I feel my phone buzz in my pocket, I glance at Mr Farouk and wait until he's facing the white board before I pull out my phone.

Charlie: it's Tao, boys toilets. Now! Charlie emergency

Panic washes over me, Charlie has come so far since last year I really hope this doesn't push him backwards.
"Sir, I need to go to the toilet." I say.
"Be quick!" He barks.

I run out of the classroom and down the corridor.
"No running in the corridors!" A teacher calls.
"Sorry!" I shout as I slow to a fast paced walk. I burst into the toilets and see Charlie sobbing uncontrollably in Tao's arms.

"Charlie?! What's happened?!" I rush over to him. He looks up at me and pulls away from Tao, falling into my arms.
"Nick..." He sobs.
"It's okay, Char... I'm here..." I comfort him, stroking his head and rocking him slightly. I look at Tao and he gives me a nod.
"I'm gonna go back to class, Charlie..." He says as he leaves.

"What happened?" I whisper when he's started to calm down.
"People... Saying things..." He says shakily.
"What things?"
"Saying... They bet I'm the bottom... And... They can't believe the... Nerd... Got laid..." He starts sobbing again.
"Oh, Charlie..." I say softly.
