Taufan and Gempa

Taufan and Gempa don't really remember their parents as the two adults rarely at home due to their work. The eldest pair of twins spends their every waking moment with their older sister. For as long as they can remember, Halilintar is the one and only source of comfort in their life. She tries to be a good sister for them as best as she can despite having trouble on how to show affection and having physical contact with others.

Even when they got new siblings, Halilintar tries her best to divide her attention to all of her younger siblings equally, not wanting any of them to feel neglected. When the youngest pair of twins were born, their parents literally packed their bags and told their sister to take care of them all before leaving without turning back. They were left to fend for themselves and Halilintar has made it her life purpose to care for her younger siblings. She makes sure they experience a good childhood growing up while sacrificing her own.

10 years old Gempa had accidentally found their eldest sister passed out in the kitchen one night when he woke to drink some water. The scene had terrified him to his very core. For the very first time in his life, the earth manipulator had felt true fear. Gempa has never once seen Halilintar look that pale and exhausted. She's always calm and strong. To Gempa, his older sister is untouchable and the strongest person he ever knows. But it needs such a scare for him to realise how much his sister is sacrificing for them to have a good life. Which is also the reason why Gempa decided to be a capable brother and help Halilintar with their siblings. Anything to lighten her burdens.

Taufan followed suit after he woke up from a week of a very bad fever and to Halilintar dozed off beside his bed, clearly spending the whole week looking after him. She looks worse for wear. Balancing school, part-time job and taking care of 6 of them at such a young age is bound to exhaust her. Taufan learned how to bake because he knew Halilintar loves red velvet cake. His sister has always baked them cakes and cookies yet never eats any with them. He slowly gets more clingy and affectionate to Halilintar to ease her more with physical contact and showing emotions.

Gempa and Taufan work together to look after their younger siblings while their eldest sister works at her part-time job. It's not easy, but seeing how much easier Halilintar could breathe now makes it all worth it.
