No.

The following day, Daniil did not wake up. Not because he died, but because he hadn't slept an inch. Turns out Zsofesz's presence was the only thing that kept his life in balance. Now, from the lack of sleep, the circles under his eyes looked like two miniature black holes. As a result, his walking speed had reduced to zero for the rest of the day.

But, as a wise man once said, nothing lasts forever. So, when Daniil finally drank his 5 liters of coffee, he rose out of laziness and was fully energized and functional again.

He has to find Zsofesz. That's his first priority right now. And he will do anything to succeed.

He was getting ready to leave when he heard a knock on his window. He went over there, only to see the big ugly spider from yesterday. He opened it hesitantly.

'Oh, Good morning sire! Sorry to bother-'

'What? What do you want now? ' Daniil cut the spider off. He did not have any time for this. This idiot is the reason he forgot to look for Zsofesz sooner and he absolutely doesn't need his time to be wasted any longer.

'Ah, well if i may ask, are you looking for your dear friend Zsofesz, by any chance? '

Daniil's eyes lit up for a second. Then a wave of suspicion settled across his face. 'Yes... I am. How do you know that anyway? ' he asked.

'Ah, i just... heard, you know. The birds chirped, and I overheard them.' the spider said, nodding it's head.

'Those goddamn birds...' Daniil whispered to himself. He'll have to deal with them later. 'Okay, but... why're you asking? Do you know something, that I don't? ' he asked the spider distrustfully.

'Oh! Well... i guess you could say that i do.'

Daniil's raised his eyebrows.

'I think I know where your friend is, sire!' the spider stated proudly.

'Really? You know? Where? ' Daniil freezed. He felt like the weight of the entire Bismarck ship just lifted from his heart.

'Oh, she doesn't live very far, my friend! i can lead the way if you'd like?' the spider smiled.

'Can't you just- ...You know what? Sure. Lead the way, please.' Daniil gave in. If the spider really knew where Zsofesz was (which it better), then it's best if he followed along.

'You got it, sire! ' said the spider and walked away from the window. 'Come! '
Daniil joined the spider outside, making sure to note every street they cross.

He was quiet, for a while. It felt strange to be walking alongside a giant (and ugly) spider that he was scared of before. But it was for the best. For Zsofesz. He had no other choice.
After a minute or so, he broke his silence.

'Um... how did you find out where she lived? ' he asked not daring to look at the spider.

'I have eyes everywhere, you see! ' the spider giggled. 'I just so happened to see her enter her house! And, if you're wondering "What if it wasn't her house?" Fear not, my fellow companion! I asked her myself! And, she answered! '

Daniil did not respond. Turns out, Zsofesz and the spider have spoken before. How curious.
But then why did she piss herself if she had already known this idiot? Weird...

Just as he stopped pondering, they arrived at their destination.

It was a small, yellow house with red roof tiles. Each window contained a box of dead flowers and had an ominous urine-like smell submerging from the inside.

This is it, Daniil thought. He can feel it and he can certainly smell it. This is Zsofesz's house.

As he approached the door, the spider struck it's arms out.

'Well, here we are, my friend!
I hope you'll have a wonderful time with her! But, I'm afraid have to go now...' the spider said and backed away from the house.

'Great.' Daniil said and turned to the door. But then suddenly turned back to the spider.

'Where? ' He couldn't say why he asked, but after all it did help him get to Zsofesz. The spider deserved at least a little kindness after Daniil had insulted it. Multiple times.

'Oh! Well, I'm just taking a stroll around the park. I visit everyday! It's nice to have a lovely walk after the shows.' For a moment, the spider hesitated. 'You can... join me... sometime. If you'd like.'

For a brief moment, Daniil's empathy for the spider spinged to life. He would've never thought to make friends with a creature like this, but it didn't feel that wrong anymore.

'Sure.' he shrugged. 'I'll see you around.' and he walked back to the door.

The spider nodded, then left. Daniil's kind gesture made him very joyous. He felt lucky, to finally have someone to walk with.

Perhaps, this could be the beginning of a new friendship.
