OMNISCIENT

The morning sun filtered through the curtains of the spacious Airbnb, casting a soft glow over the kitchen. Tamika stood at the stove, her hands moving rhythmically as she prepared a big breakfast for everyone. The aroma of bacon, eggs, and pancakes filled the air, a comforting distraction from the turmoil in her heart.

While listening to one of favorite gospel artists softly in the background. Dorinda Clark Cole. It was something about the older woman's voice that Tamika couldn't shake, and would forever love!

When I look back over my life
And I see all the things God's done for me;
Been through dangers, heartache, and trouble,
I thank the Lord, He rescued me
I could have been dead and gone,
But the Lord he spared my life
Now I can say, that I'm still here
And it's by the grace of God
When I look back over my life
And I see all the things the Lord's brought me through;
Been through trials, sickness, and suffering,
I thank the Lord, He's blessed me still
I could have lost the faith
And I could have fell from His grace
Now I can say, that I'm still here
And it's by the grace of God
Oh, I'm still here,
I'm still here
Oh, I'm still here
Through disappointments,
,
He's brought me through
Now I can say, He's brought me all the way,
(through the midst of it all),
(through the midst of it all),
I am still here,
It's by the grace of God

This song was a testimony to how much Tamika had really been through honestly.

Last night's performance had left her emotionally drained. LaTocha's refusal to sing, the tension between them, and Kandi's mixed signals all weighed heavily on her mind. Cooking was her way of coping, a way to pour her love and care into something tangible.

Kandi wandered into the kitchen, drawn by the delicious smells. "Morning, Tamika," she said softly, leaning against the counter.

Tamika glanced at her, offering a small smile. In her head she was still conflicted. Today she was Tamika but last night she was "Mika".

"Morning. I thought I'd make everyone breakfast. Figured it might lift our spirits."

Kandi nodded, her expression unreadable. "That's sweet of you. You know I like to eat."

For a moment, silence hung between them, heavy with unspoken words. Kandi's presence was both comforting and confusing. One minute, she was there for Tamika, offering support; the next, she was distant, leaving Tamika wondering what she had done wrong.
