David's in love with Ajani.
He has always been in love with the Jamaican since senior year of high school and now they're college graduates with jobs.
Ajani and David were friends before the incident.
The incident that almost ended their friendship in junior year of college.
It was new years eve, 5 minutes before 12.
********Flashback**********
David and Ajani had gone to a New Year's Eve party.
David was there alone just like every other new years, and Ajani was waiting for his Boyfriend of Six months.
"Ughhh" the Jamaican groaned staring at his phone frustrated.
"What's wrong Ajani" David asked, immediately worried seeing his best friend look stressed.
"he's still not here" Ajani answered making David roll his eyes. He got all worried for that?.
"Don't worry he'll come" David said acting like he cared but in reality he could care less. If anything he wished Ajani's boyfriend will get ran over by a car or even better a truck or even better better, a plane falls on him.
"I hope" the Jamaican said, he wanted to start the year with a kiss from someone he loves and someone who loves. I mean it is a tradition and he liked that tradition.
After a few minutes a shared friend of both yelled out....
"10 seconds left".
"Fuck, where is he?" Ajani asked getting a little angry.
"10"
Ajani looked around to see if he's in the crowd

David watched as Ajani looked around

Ajani checked his phone again

David rolled his eyes as Ajani dialed his number again

Ajani groaned after the call went to voicemail

David smiled seeing that he didn't pick

Ajani leaned against a wall pouting

David got an idea, he knew it was risky but he wanted to give it a try

Ajani gave up

David pulled held Ajani's shirt and pulled in for a kiss.
The fireworks went off as the two kissed.
