Mallory's POV:
I opened my eyes and rolled over to find my phone. I got a text from Jake. It read,
"Good morning gorgeous, hope you slept well. Can't wait to see you today. ❤️"
I smiled and texted him back. I then got up and went to see if Bella was awake and she was.
"Are you okay?" I asked.
"Yes, I had the strangest dream though. I had a dream as if Edward was in my room." Bella said reluctantly.
"Hmm. That's weird. You definitely need to come today now."
"As much as I don't want to, I will. It wouldn't hurt meeting new people."
She got up and went to take a shower. I went down stairs and surprisingly dad had made pancakes. He normally makes them on Sunday morning but I think he was just excited to have Bella home and for Jake and I finally getting together.
"What's this for dad?"
"I figured I'd make my girls some pancakes!"
"Did you make coffee?" I asked hopefully.
"No, we're out. Would you mind running to the store to get some more?" He asked me.
"Yeah, just let me get out of the pj's."
I ran upstairs and told Bella where I was going and asked if she'd like to come. She surprisingly said yes. I waited on her to get ready and then we left while dad was cooking the rest of breakfast.
We took my car, a black 2010 Chevy Malibu. We finally made it and we both decided to go in. We made it to the coffee isle and as we were turning in I bumped into someone. I looked and it was Edward. He smiled at me and made light conversation.

Edward's POV:
I bumped into someone and it turned out to be Mallory Swan. Chief of police's daughter. I told her I was sorry and made conversation. I always thought she was gorgeous but could never go for her. She's way out of my league and also goes to school at La Push, and I at Forks.
"So what are you here for?" I asked awkwardly.
"Coffee. Charlie and I drink a lot of it and we're out again." She laughed when she said that and I caught myself smiling.
I smelt an amazing smell not too far behind her. It was the new girl, her sister I assumed. She was lighter complected than Mallory, and lighter brown hair. She was super quiet compared to her. I asked Mallory about her because she didn't seem like she was in the talking mood.
"So is this your sister I assume?"
"Yes, she's my older sister. She's in your class at Forks."
Great. I saw her the other day but I didn't know we were the same age. That means more classes with her for the next few years. There is something about her I cannot resist but I must.
"See, now why don't you go to Forks, Mallory?"
"Well, I have gone to La Push since I was in Pre-K, and my dad only wants me to go there because I am friends with Jacob and he'd rather him be with me to protect me and we're also inseparable."
Not the answer I wanted. She hangs out with the Blacks, Lahotes, Clearwaters, etc. My family is not a fan of them, but we do like the Swans.
"Bella, I'm sorry about my behavior the other day. I felt sick and just had an off day. I hope you had a first great week at Forks."
I gave Mallory a side hug and left without whatever it was I was sent for. There is something about Bella, and I will figure it out.

Mallory's POV:
"Well, back to my coffee. I'm ready to get home and eat!" I exclaimed.
"Why did he just talk to me now?" Bella asked.
"I'm not sure. I think he thinks I used to like him or something. But he is a cool guy, it just takes a while to get to know him. He's just weird sometimes. Like he doesn't know what to say or do."

Bella's POV:
We checked out with our coffee and Mallory drove us home. Why is it that guys always go for her? I know she is prettier than me but still. She got more of my dad's dark facial features while I got my mom's light eyes and hair. I was awkward and never spoke to anyone, Mallory is very outgoing like dad. I guess that's what I get for living with mom. Anywho, we just pulled into the driveway and parked. We went in and ate breakfast.
"This is good." I told Charlie.
"Thanks Bells, I remembered you used to like them when you were little." He said.
He tries so hard with me, and he doesn't even have to try with Mallory. I wish I had their relationship, but I guess Mallory wishes she had the relationship I have with mom. So I guess it's pretty even. I finished eating and went upstairs to read up on Dr. Cullen.
