"Have I told you you look amazing in that pencil skirt?" Logan grabs me by my waist and pulls me close.
"Yes. About ten times now," I laugh.
"You're nervous."
He smoothes the worry line in between my brows.
"You'll ace this interview. Relax."
I pull away from him and go to my bathroom so I can fuss with my hair. "What if they don't like me?"
What I'm really thinking is what if they do like me? What if Natasha isn't kidding about Nathan? What if things get messy? What if...
"They will like you. Because you're a hard worker and very diligent. Take deep breaths and relax."
I shake out my fingers to relax my nerves.
I smooth my gray pencil skirt and flatten down the collar of my royal blue button down. "Can you pass me my heels please?"
Logan grabs my blue heels and hands them to me. "You look beautiful babe."
The worry line returns. "Do you think I'm overdressed?"
His green eyes crinkle as he laughs and pulls me to him again. "I really wish you'd calm down Isabella."
"I know. I'm sorry," I sigh.
He kisses my neck. "You ready?"
I slip on my heels and he walks me down the stairs. I really wish this could be over already.

"Thank you for time," the manager, Mr. Murrell, says to me when the interview is over.
I nod and head out the office and through the main lobby of Starbucks. Nathan's dealing with a costumer but I catch him looking at me. I leave out of the store and head to my car. Logan is leaning against the driver's door. I guess he got tired of sitting inside.
"How'd it go?" He asks.
I slip off my heels and hold them in my hand.
"Isabella?"
I look down. Then I look up and squeal, "I got the job!"
He lifts me up and spins me around. "I knew you would." When he lets me go he plants a huge kiss on my lips.
"Let's go celebrate!"
I open the passenger door and right before I slip in I see Nathan give me a thumbs up. I smile and do the same.
Told you you'd ace it. But you don't listen to me," Logan ruffles my curls and kisses my hand. I let out a few shakey breaths and relax myself. It's over.

"I got a Venti iced mocha for Elizabeth?" Nathan rushes past me to add the whipped cream on top of the Venti iced mocha right when a blonde girl steps to the counter to receive her drink. By the way she's staring at him I'm sure the coffee isn't the only thing she wants to take home.
"Thank you," she says as sultry as she can. Nathan doesn't seem to be paying attention.
"No problem miss. I got a small soy latte for Jonas?" A short dark haired boy steps around the blonde to grab his drink. When she sees Nathan isn't going to give her the time of day she leaves.
When things start to slow down I give him a sidelong glance while I clean out the blender.
"What?" He asks.
I set the blender down and put my hands on my hips. "You didn't see that blonde girl eyeing you like you were the last Venti iced mocha on earth?"
He laughs and pushes back his hair.
"I'm serious."
"Yeah I did. But I'm not interested in her. I thought I made it obvious."
I furrow my brows. "You didn't even give her a chance."
Again, he pushes back his dirty blonde hair. "Well my mind's on other things right now."
Before I can continue the conversation he says, "I got a pumpkin spice latte for Zoey?"
"I got this," I take the latte from him and hand it to Zoey just as she reaches the counter. Her hair is in a short straight bob. Way different than her normal long wavy hair.
"Hey you cut your hair?" I ask.
She touches it self consciously and whispers, "you don't like it?"
"No! No! I love it! It's just you and Zahra won't exactly look much like twins anymore."
"Well that's the point." She sips her latte and rolls her eyes. "My dear sister has no time for me anymore. She's too busy with her college boyfriend."
I smile. "Nicholas."
"Ugh," she rolls her eyes and peers at Nathan. "Is he single?"
I turn around and spot him eyeing us casually.
"I'm afraid his mind is on other things right now."
"Hmmph. Well when he's ready for a little fun give him my number will you?"
"Will do," I mock salute and get back to work. All while Nathan is still eyeing me.
It's my turn to ask what.
"You're extremely beautiful, Bella."
Am I imagining things? He didn't just say that. He knows I have a boyfriend. He met my boyfriend. Maybe this is just a compliment.
"Thanks," I smile but stop when it feels a little shakey.
He leans against the counter and smiles at me. "What? No counter compliment?"
I swallow hard and look him square in the face. "Nathan..."
"Friends can give friends compliments Bella."
I stare at him for a few more seconds before releasing the breath I didn't realize I was holding. "Well in that case you have pretty eyes."
He throws his head back and laughs. "We should get back to work."
I nod. "Good idea."
