CHAPTER FIFTEEN

River's POV
I felt bad for the way I left but I didn't want to cry in front of Riley when I got back to my hotel I saw that Riley has messaged me on instagram "hey are you okay I really hope your not mad at me" I responded with "yes I'm fine I just didn't want to cry in front of you because I've wanted to be with you for almost three years now and I really want to be together but you know I respect your decision your a great friend Riley" I laid down on my hotel bed and took a nap when I woke up I had two missed calls from Will when I called him back Will said "hey I saw that you called me last night are you okay?" I said "I just needed someone to talk to because the whole thing with Brodie is killing me but I got ahold of Riley and I spent the night with him last night in the hotel he was in" Will said "oh I'm sorry I didn't answer you called during a match so my phone was in my bag in my locker but I'm glad Riley was there for you" I said "your fine and yeah me too Riley is really a great person and friend" Will said "yeah you can tell he cares a lot about you" I said "I know and I care a lot about him too" Will said "you guys are gonna get married in the future, hey so are you invited to Quinn and jays wedding in June?" I said "I hope so but I do know that there getting married" Will said "okay I gotta go bye sis I love you" I said "I love you too bye" when I got off the phone with Will I saw that Riley was face timing me when I answered Riley said "you know you can show your emotions around me you don't have to hide them" I said "I know but the only person I'll really cry in front of is Will it's because he's k ow what I've been through with the orphanage and losing my parents it's been hard I've hated my life until I met you that night on New Year's Eve back in 2018" Riley said "do you really want this though like is this what you want is to be with me?" I said "more then ever" Riley said "okay well then I'll take you out tonight and if it works out then it works out but if it doesn't promise me it won't be awkward between us" I said "I promise" Riley said "okay it's a date then I'll see you at 6 o clock" I looked at the time and it was 5:30 I said "okay" Riley said "alright I'll let you get ready bye" I said "bye" when I got off the phone with Riley I got ready and waited until a heard knock on my hotel door to see Riley standing there with a bouquet of red roses I said "hi Riley" Riley handed me the roses and said "hi these are for you" I smiled and said "aww thank you how did you know roses were my favorite?" Riley said "Will told me" I laughed and said "of course he did, he wouldn't be a brother if he didn't tell you my favorite flower" Riley said "your look really pretty tonight" I said "thank you, you look handsome yourself" Riley said "thank you are you ready to go?" I said "yeah let me just put these in water and we can go" Riley said "okay" I walked into the hotel kitchen to see if they have a vase luckily they did and I put the flowers in water then poured the food in the water when I walked out of the kitchen Riley was still standing by the door I grabbed my jacket and Riley helped me put it on and we linked arms when I shut my hotel door Riley said "you didn't forget your hotel key right?" I pulled it out of my clutch and said "nope got it right here" Riley laughed and said "man Will was right you are prepared at all times" I smiled and said "yeah I like to be prepared" Riley said "that's a good thing" I smiled and we walked downstairs to the lobby then walked out of the building into Riley's car when we got to the restaurant Riley held the door open for me I laughed and Riley said "what?" I said "you don't have to open the door for me" Riley said "no I do I'm a gentleman and not only that but if I didn't you know damn well that will kill me" I said "yeah true well thank you" Riley said "my pleasure" me and Riley walked up to the lady who was checking people in the front and Riley said "reservation for Riley" the lady looked at her notepad and said "follow me sir" me and Riley followed the girl into this back room when the girl left Riley pulled my chair back and I sat down then he scooted in for me I said "thank you" Riley said "your welcome Riley sat down across from me and said "what are you gonna get to drink?" I said "can I have a drink pepper?" Riley said "you can have whatever I don't care" I said "okay then I'll get a drink pepper, what are you gonna get?" Riley said "I'm driving tonight so I'll just get a drink pepper as well" when the waitress came Riley told her what drinks we wanted then she left I said "how was your day?" Riley laughed said "you act like you haven't seen me all day" I said "your right I'm sorry how was your hours that I wasn't with you?" Riley said "they were good,how were yours?" I said "mine were boring besides when I talked to you and Will" Riley said "at least I'm not boring" I said "yeah your actually pretty fun to be around" Riley said "thank you" I said "your welcome, so what are you gonna get to eat?" Riley said "I kinda want spaghetti, what about you?" I said "you know I might go the same" Riley said "do you like Italian food too?" I said "oh I love Italian food I just don't eat it much because you know I gotta stay fit for the ring" Riley said "same" when the waitress came back with our drinks I said "thank you so much" the waitress said "your welcome, okay are we ready to order?" Riley said "yeah I'm gonna get the spaghetti with the garlic bread" the waitress wrote down Riley's order then looked at me and said "for you?" I said "I'll get the same thing as him" the waitress wrote down the number 2 next to the order and then aid "okay let me get these menus out of yours guys way" Riley took my menu and put it on top of his then handed it to her the waitress said "thank you" Riley said "your welcome" when the waitress left Riley said "how is it going with wrestling" I said "oh you know my body hurts like hell" Riley said "yeah I kinda figured" I said "so do you plan on getting married in the future?" Riley said "hopefully I guess we'll just have to see if I find the right one, what about you?" I said "I would like to get married but to the person I see myself spending the rest of my life with and I would also like kids I've dreamed of being a mom since my mom died because I knew how important it is to have a mother figure in your life kit only that but I love kids" Riley said "I feel that I want kids too" a couple minutes later the waitress came back with our food and we ate while having a full on conversation when we were done eating Riley left a tip for the waitress on the table and he payed for our meals up front when we got outside I noticed it was raining I said "Riley do you like rain?" Riley said "yeah I do actually, what about you?" I said "yeah I love rain and snow I feel like snow especially is pretty" Riley said "I agree" once we got to the car and he opened the passenger door for me I smiled and got in then put on my seat belt while he closed my door and walked around so the driver side when we were ready to leave Riley started the car and he drove out of the parking lot on the way back to the hotel Riley said "okay I've been thinking about this a lot so I'm just gonna ask you, will you be my girlfriend?" At that moment I froze.
