Ashera's Game

Peter placed Rat back into her tank as he smiled and opened the front door to leave but suddenly Ashera was standing there. Peter saw her soaking wet by the rain as she looked grumpy... Peter sighed and decided to let her into his house. He stepped aside to let her in as she entered she looked around to see his house. Quite nice in her opinion, Peter closed the door as he leaned against the doorway before he answered

Peter: "So, Ashera. Why are you all the way here? Don't you live in the city?"

Ashera: "I do live in the city but... I live in a neighborhood which was far... I couldn't make it without the heavy ran pouring on me. I don't want to get sick..."

Peter: "You have a hoodie on. What happened to your coat?"

Ashera: "I left it at my place, I thought it wasn't going to rain... It wasn't cloudy earlier..."

Peter stopped leaning against the doorway as he walked over to his bedroom and entered before he picked out some clothes she could use as she's washing hers. Peter walked back to Ashera who was still soaking wet as he hands her the clothes before replying to her in a soft calm tone.

Peter: "Ashera, Go get dressed in these and do your washing. I'll let you spend a night here but sleep on the couch. Okay?"

Ashera: "That's fine. I'll leave in the morning anyways."

Peter: "Good. Now go take a shower or whatever and get cleaned up."

Ashera shrugged and walked to the bathroom as she entered the bathroom and closed the door behind her with a click of the door being locked. Peter began to make a bed on the couch for Ashera as he heard the water turning off and looking at the bathroom door to see Ashera exit in his clothes. His sweater and black shorts as he didn't realize they fit her... Peter left the living room as he entered his bedroom. Ashera walked past Peter as she sighed and entered the living room, She laid down and curled into a ball under the covers... Peter exited his bedroom to see every light off except for Rat's tank. He looked into the living room to see Ashera already sleeping... He sighed and went back into his room to rest as well. He turned off his bedroom light and laid down on his bed...

Ashera heard a click of a light switch as she woke up... She sat up as her messy hair fluffed up and stuck out as she had very thick and soft hair, Ashera looked around as her dark blue eyes slightly glowed in the dimmed light from Rat's tank, She smiled upon seeing Rat... Ashera decided to get up to see Rat closer as she did. She walked up to the tank before kneeling down and looking at the glass tank... Rat slithered close to the tank, She must've think Ashera is Peter... Ashera gently lifted the tank sealer up as she picked up Rat and allowed her to slither across her neck.

Ashera: [Whispering] "So cute... Too bad it's only me n' you awake at the moment."

Rat made a small hiss as Ashera smiled before replying

Ashera: [Whispering] "Hm, Sounds about right. You are the prettiest snake."

Peter heard muffled whispers as he got out of bed and exited his room to see Ashera holding Rat in her hands as he couldn't help but smile at the sight. Peter walked over to Ashera as he tapped her shoulder before he took a step back to dodge her slap of defense. Ashera sighed after she realized it was only Peter...

Ashera: "Shouldn't you be in bed?"

Peter: "Yes, But shouldn't you also be in bed?"

Ashera: "Of course but I couldn't sleep, Rat caught my attention. Her beauty mesmerized me."

Peter chuckled upon hearing her talk about Rat, He gently took Rat as he smiled to see Rat slither around his finger... He gently placed Rat back into her tank and puts the lid on as he looked over to see Ashera's eye glow, He knew something was going on...

Peter: "Your eyes glow too? You seem to be alike me. But of course I don't mind it."

Ashera: "Interesting, But I suppose we are."

Peter: "Alright, Now go to bed. You need rest to work function properly. Or you'd be slow and groggy"

Ashera laughed and walked to the couch as she laid down and hid under the covers. Peter chuckled and walked back into his bedroom as he closed his door, His mind running with thoughts as he knew he shouldn't kill her... His head kept repeating "Kill, Kill, Kill. She took Y/N from me. She's here to ruin everything!" Peter walked over to his bed before he laid down and tried to ignore his thoughts... As the two were asleep. The night was peaceful as well...

Morning seemed to roll over as the sunlight shined through the windows. Ashera sat up and woke up feeling groggy, She wasn't a morning person as she laid back down and went back to sleep. Peter got up and got dressed to meet up with Y/N, As he exited his room to see Ashera still asleep. He sighed and exited the house, Leaving Ashera alone... Ashera heard the door lock as she quickly sat up and realized what time it was.

Ashera: "Oh-"

She quickly got up and walked to the bathroom to get dressed. Her clothes were dry now as she was now able to wear her casual clothes. She exited the bathroom as she walked over to Rat's tank and said her goodbye as she walked to a nearby window to escape since the front door was locked. Ashera quickly climbed out and closed the window behind her as she then ran out of the woods and onto the city sidewalks. Ashera saw Peter's van as she knew he was around but she didn't have enough motivation to ruin his moments. She walked to her house as she was still needing some more sleep. She saw Y/N as she suddenly stopped in her tracks. Her heart thumping in her chest as she stared... Y/N soon noticed Ashera as she waved and greeted her to come forward. Ashera took a few steps closer as Y/N soon noticed Ashera was a bit taller than them... Ashera smiled as she was shy in front of them, They seemed to realize she was shy and friendly to chat. They seemed to enjoy her company as they talked more, Ashera listened and enjoyed their chats... After a while of chatting and walking, Y/N had to end the convo with Ashera as they had to go to work. Ashera nodded and with a smile before waving to say goodbye. Y/N waved as they turned around to continue walking but Ashera quickly snatched their wrist. Causing them to turn to look at Ashera... Noticing her eyes were focuses ahead... They decided to look in the direction of where she is looking to notice Peter walking over with a bouquet of roses... They took a step back and allowed Ashera to lead them somewhere. Ashera didn't think without hesitation. Ashera scooped Y/N off their feet and carried them as she ran off with them in her arms. Y/N was shocked? Confused? Flustered? They didn't know what to think!.. Ashera was running to the diner...

Y/N: "Ma'am! What are you doing?!"

Ashera: "My name is Ashera, And I'm taking you to your workplace. Don't worry about anything. Here's my phone number if you need to call me."

Ashera hands them a paper with her phone number on it as they took the note and allowed Ashera to gently place them down onto the ground as they sighed of relief but once they turned to look at her. She was already gone from sight... They looked around to find her but she was nowhere found... They glanced down to see the paper with Ashera's number on it... They smiled and took the note before entering the diner, Peter watched from a far as he seemed to caught up but took his own path... His hand clenched the bouquet hard as petals fell... His dark blue eyes glowing to a lighter shade of blue before he stepped into the dark alleyway and dropped the bouquet as he made his escape...
