"You don't get to think or assume that I don't need you mahira, you've made your way through my heart, my soul and my existence

"You don't get to think or assume that I don't need you mahira, you've made your way through my heart, my soul and my existence. You're not only my need. You're my want. You're my desire. You're my destiny. You're my prize for every single good thing I've ever done." I breathed out every word in her ear. Hoping she would understand what each of these syllables mean to me.

"Arhaan, bohot pyaar karti Hu aapse. Bohot zyada. Lekin unke wajah se mein aapko apne aap se dur rakhna chahti thi, apko bhi lagta hai mein inn sab cheezon ke liye zimmedar Hu?" I heard mahira cry out these words as she weakly wrapped her arms around my shoulders, trying to get as close to me as possible.

Reciprocating the same action, I embraced her in my arms. Letting her cry, letting her let go of everything she's been trying to hide within herself. At that moment it was clear, this girl in my arms is the only cure to my disease. The only person I won't ever get tired of wanting and needing beside me.

I learned that mahira was a deep sleeper. Maybe because she was tired ? She fell asleep as soon as humanly possible. Looking at the girl sleeping in my arms, her loose curls falling messily on her face. Her lips forming a light pout as she sleeps peacefully.

She was glowing. When I say glowing, she was glowing like a diamond under the moon. Her cheeks flushed in a hue of bright pink. Her lips swollen. Her neck covered in marks given by me.

Till this day I only have known to run away from women. To only ignore their existence. I didn't want any woman drama in my life. But today, having her peacefully sleeping in my arms, covered in my marks. All I could think is how I'm never gonna be able to live a moment without her.

But for now I have to think about that woman. The mother who tried to kill her only daughter. I made a note mentally that the first thing in the morning, I'll make sure to pay a visit to my great would be mother-in-law.

The next morning

The next morning I woke up feeling someone wrap their legs around my legs. Then I remembered, it's none other than my heera.

"Tum se hi din hota hai, mahira. Tum se hi har ghari saas aati hai." I said while nuzzling my face in her hair. She smells just like Fresh strawberries.

I heard her softly humming in her sleep, making me smile thinking she's gonna wake up in my arms. Hopefully she'll wake up happy.

"Good morning" she husked out a mere whisper in her morning voice. Before blessing me with the most beautiful smile, a smile I coil die for. A smile that makes me the happiest man alive.

"Good morning meri jaan, did you sleep well ?" I whispered in her ears, trying to spend as much time with her as I can. Because after this,  we're not gonna be able to spend much time with each other, for a long time.
