Mariage is an union between two people, who consented on creating a life together with mutual love and respect.

Mariage must be protected by those two people, and one of the best way to do so is to set on boundaries that shouldn't be violated by neither of the spouses.

Mutual love and respect should always remain the main focus of a healthy relationship.

With love comes empathy, patience and intimacy. Respect comes with support, understanding and honesty.

Trust, loyalty and open communication solidify love and respect, which empower the relationship.

A relationship can't work without a solid foundation, and Ebony knew that all too well.

Before her marriage, she was in only one serious relationship, that ended up catastrophically.

None of the essential ingredients were put together, which explained why it went down so badly.

With Chresanto, work definitely had to be done but at the end of the day they got to build their foundation hands in hands and were able to create a beautiful home for themselves and their children.

A home with love, respect and joy. And she couldn't let all that energy and effort go to waste because of outsiders.

So after paying a little visit to her sister, she came home and waited for her husband's return to talk with him about this whole situation. But they had to take care of the kids first, so she had to wait for them to have some alone time, which usually happened after they put the kids to bed.

Before they got married, Ebony and Chresanto had long conversations about everything under the sun and made sure to agree on the main topics, finances being one.

They decided to have a jointed account and to also each keep a separate one for their respective businesses.

They both had full access to the jointed account and didn't have to get each other's approval for every expense, but for the bigger and more important ones they agreed to talk about it together before a final decision could be made.

And lending rent money to her estranged sister was definitely a decision that needed to be discussed with her husband. Not only because they were married, but also because she didn't know what to do in this particular situation.

She didn't have a grudge against Anaïs, but they weren't the closest siblings either. If it was Paris, Deka or Lyona, she wouldn't think about it twice, and she knew it was the same when it came to Chadwick and Orlea or their parents,  but Anaïs wasn't family like that.

"So ? What do you think ? " she asked, nervously biting her bottom lip. She didn't know why she was so nervous about it though.

"I don't know, baby. We don't really know her like that and how do we know she's going to give that money back ? " he asked, putting lotion on his arms.

She slowly shrugged. "We don't know. We can only trust her words."

"Can we really trust her though ? Where is she even coming from ? This whole time she's been living in the same city as you and the only time she calls is to ask for a favor. This doesn't sit well with me," he pointed out shaking his head.

"I know, but we talked and I get why."

Santo refrained himself from rolling his eyes. "Please highlight me, cause I'm confused."
