Vasudev was sitting on a swing at balcony. He was lost in his own thought. His eyes gazed wistfully into the distance. His fingers drummed a restless rhythm on the swing.
On the spot his beloved wife swept into the chamber. She noticed that her king was mused somewhere. She moved towards him and sat next to him.
Placing her hand on his shoulder vasudev came back to reality and his eyes met her innocent brown eyes. She was able to understand that something was troubling him. Her lips curved a little and uttered "arya, Are you alright? "
Vasudev "you know my worry priye " Rohini cupped his cheeks with her soft hands and replied " Arya don't feel bad . I hope for sure god will bless us with a beautiful maiden . All we can do is pray to mata gauri. "
Vasudev - priye, when I was young my father gave my sister up for adoption to maharaj kuntibhoj. I wasn't fortunate enough to have my sister in my life. I've always wished for a daughter to share my life with love. But God seems distant to my prayers " .
Rohini feels sense of pity for him. Vasudev left to sabha for commercial purpose. Rohini was sitting in front of shiva lingham and praying for her husband's wish .
And also she too wished to have a daughter.
She has chosen to perform penance to fulfill her husband's longing. Rohini conveyed her decision to everyone. Vasudev and devaki tried to stop her but she was strong in her motive. Vasudev was filled with regret.
All individuals in dwarka were not happy with her decision and tried to convince her to stop . But Krishna supported his mother . He convinced everyone.
Vasudev - Rohini why you decided to suffer for this poor man's desire. I can't see you in pain please try to understand.
Devaki - Arya is right jiji we can't see you suffering. Have a change of heart. If your sure about it i will do penance for you.
Rohini - No devaki, you've been through a lot of struggles. It's my responsibility to fulfill my duty as a wife.
Vasudev teared up at her words. He feel blessed to get them as a better halve.
Balram - Mata , if you suffer how can i bear the pain. " Said With tears in his dark eyes"
Rohini - putra, I am not going to suffer I feel really proud to do that. You're my brave son dont shed out the tears it's not a beauty for a warrior . Take care of your little brothers.
Rohini consoled him with her sweet words.
Krishna - Mata you will succeed in your endeavors.
His words smothered her and bolstered her confidence.
Shurasena and marishi (father and mother of vasudev) blessed Rohini.
She left to Mata gauri mandir and started her prayer.
Vasudev stayed with Rohini at mandir.
After few months,
Rohini is still engaged in her worship.
Vasudev went to get flowers for pooja.
Rohini was in deep meditation chanting Mata gauri's mantra.
After a long worship with prolonged fasting Mata gauri emerged into her view . Witnessing the Mother of three world Rohini fell on her knees before Devi Gauri.

Mata gauri - your faithfulness has pleased me, what shall I grant you? .
Rohini - Mata!! I want a daughter. Bless me to fulfill my husband's desire.
Mata gauri - may your wish granted my dear!! You will be gifted with a daughter who resembles me. She will have my features.
Rohini bestowed a smile upon her.
Rohini - Thank you so much Mata!! I am blessed with your compassion.
Mata gauri smiled at her and vanished into the air.
Rohini looked for vasudev everywhere. He entered with white flowers and some lotus . Rohini ran towards him and hugged him.
She sobbed the tears of happiness . Vasudev was confused. Then she broke the hug and told that Mata gauri blessed her and soon she will bear a daughter . Vasudev's happiness has no bound . He pecked on Rohini's forehead and hugged her tightly.
They took blessings from Devi Gauri. And returned to the palace.
Krishna , balram , devaki and other family members were in seventh heaven.
Because of fasting and prayers they both appeared to be unwell and decided to take some rest.
Soon the news of joy reached everyone in dwarka. Dwarka was craving for their princess arrival.
