She was being dragged into the homestead by Frypan, she had never seen anyone so mad at her since she threw a rock at Gally. Where was Gally?   She wondered.

'You had one job, Belle, one job!' He exclaimed. 'I said "Don't let it burn"!'

'Frypan, calm down.' Thomas tried to reason, following behind them.

'Calm down?' He yelled. 'She burned down my kitchen!'

'Accidentally!' Belle exclaimed.

Frypan pushed her into one of the rooms, Alby, Minho, and Newt were sat at a table, their faces turning with shock as Frypan shoved her out of his hands, slamming the door.

'Woah what's happened?' Alby stood up.

'Belle, I left you for a bloody hour what have you done?' Newt sighed.

Minho placed his head into his hand without saying anything.

'This shank burnt down my kitchen!' Frypan yelled.

'What?' The three of them exclaimed at the same time.

'Accidentally!' Belle added.

'I told you, Belle!' Frypan shouted, 'I told you not to let the chicken burn!'

'It's not like I did it on purpose.' Belle exclaimed, 'It was an accident!' She tried to explain herself but she could tell by their faces that no amount of explaining could undo the damage that this would cause.

'I don't care! My kitchen is in flames because of you!' Frypan yelled.

'And I completely understand why your mad about that.' She said, holding up her hands in surrender. 'But honestly it was-'

'-An accident?' He interrupted, 'You've said.' He rolled his eyes and then pointed to Newt. 'I know that she's your sister, but I think the other Keepers are right. She needs to be banished!'

'It wasn't her fault.' Thomas said, walking forwards and standing in front of Belle, now directly face to face with Frypan.

'Why were you even there?' Frypan asked, confused.

'I went in there to talk to her and I distracted her, that isn't her fault.' He explained, keeping his voice in a calm tone.

'Maybe not entirely, but it was still down to her.' Frypan spat the last words as he pointed at Belle, causing her to lean back against the wall.

'Fry, come with me we can sort out your kitchen.' Alby said as he walked towards them, placing a hand on Frypans shoulder as he led him out of the room. He turned around before he closed the door.  'Newt, sort out your sister.'

They walked out of the room, leaving Belle standing with Thomas, Newt and Minho all staring at her.

'Belle.' Newt sighed, clearly tired. 'Why the bloody hell were you in the kitchen, especially after last time.'

Minho answered before she could, 'Because I thought that if she could prove to the Keepers that she was helpful then maybe they would change their minds.' Belle could tell from his voice that he was disapointed, partly in her, and partly because his last hope of a plan hadn't worked.

'What did you do last time?' Thomas asked, intruged.

Newt answered him quickly, before she could open her mouth to speak 'Last time she gave the whole bloody Glade food poisoning.'

'Of course you did.' Thomas said with a small smile, but then returned to a serious face. 'It really wasn't her fault though, Newt. I distracted her.'

'Tommy, as much as I appriciate it, you were in there for two minutes, you didn't distract me.' Belle finally spoke, although it was like they hadn't heard her, not Newt at least.
