When I woke up this morning Alex was being extremely weird but I decided to ignore it and speak to red "what do you want" she spoke her thick Russian accent peaking through "nichols wasn't using" I say looking at the floor.

"Then why did she have it?" She asks glaring at me "I don't know but she wasn't using red I promise she wasn't" I say having a new found respect for the woman, she nods and throws me a rag pointing to the kitchen sides.

After I finish wiping down the sides I see Lorna staring at me as I left the kitchen "Lorna la loca" I mumble walking past her I go to commissary and buy some noodles and stuff that Nicky likes and also a notebook .

I put all of her stuff in her part of our bunk knowing that Mendez would put her back in here at some point, I begin to sketch Nicky in the notebook focusing on her facial features and her crazy hair which had drawn me to her in the first place.

"You still draw?" Alex asks entering my cube which I nodded to, drawing kept me out of trouble so the guards didn't care "that's really good is it Nicky?" Alex spoke sitting on my bed next to me "yeah it's Nicky, you think she's mad at me?" I ask looking up at Alex.

"She shouldn't have touched your shit it's her own fault" she kisses the top of my head looking down at me "it's not your fault Ripley" she pulls me into her hugging me, I don't usually do hugs but right now I'd do anything to not feel this guilt.

"If Nicky had just left it she wouldn't be there" I mumble into Alex's shoulder while she rubs my back "I know, I know" she speaks into my hair before pulling away from the hug and looking at me and kissing my cheek.

"You know you and Nicky may be in reds family but your my bitches" I say as she stands up and glares at me chuckling "see ya ripley" she waves and I do back, let's just hope Nicky isn't gone for long.
