Another Group

  During a meeting with some bad people again, who tried to take you and Parker, you get stabbed protecting him. You were horrified by how close it was that you almost lost him to people you're certain had awful and disgusting intentions they wanted him for. They wanted you too, but when you fought they focused on taking Parker instead. It still gives you shudders, just thinking about it. The way especially one of those men looked at him. You're used to those kind of look on yourself, but when they had those intentions for a child you and Ethan were livid.

  Ethan managed to save Parker and you got yourself free. It still bothers you that you technically lost Parker from your grip, but Ethan keeps reminding you that you did everything you could. Since then you have been even more determined to be prepared for absolutely anything when protecting Parker.

  Though having lost a lot of supplies after that incident they did manage to get your wound treated, but you're much more recipient to infection. (Not sure how it works, so just bear with me I guess.) You're going to be out of bandages before you heal enough and you have to change it to avoid infection.

  The group stop in a small town to try to scavenge what you need, but find nothing. Suddenly in the distance someone in your group, Derek, sees another group coming your way. Ethan orders the group to get into position, like you would usually do when meeting new people. (Not sure how to explain it. But it's to seem intimidating to get an advantage over the others while they figure out if they're good or bad.)

  When they get close to a building they get suddenly fired at, they can't see where the gunshots are coming from, so they run inside for cover. Not knowing that was the intention the shooter, you, had planned for them.

  "None of us got hit? Huh, what a bad shot." One of them scoffs a laugh.

  Jason frowns to himself and then realises it was intentional. But it's too late as they see a hand with a gun appear behind the guy. The group all aim their guns at the figure they can barely see in the shadow.

  "You're outnumbered. Put your gun down and we can talk." The one that seems to be the leader says.

  "Tsk, Tsk." Ethan's voice comes out a bit muffled from cloth covering most of his face. "You sure about that?" Then the rest of your group pulls their guns up and out from the shadows, only their hands can be seen clearly. All of them having both their hands aimed, two guns each pointing at the team.

  "Okay." He says after cursing silently to himself and then lifts his arms in surrender, his group following suit. Derek walk out of the shadows and take all their guns.

  "On your knees." Ethan then tells them and they do as told, carefully bending down to sit on their knees.

  "What do you want?"

  "We're just gonna have a friendly chat." Ethan says casually, ushering the guy he held at gunpoint to get on the ground with his group.

  "Friendly, huh?" Jason scoffs.

  Ethan chuckles, walks closer and out of the shadows. The group looks at him, gets slightly intimidated by his appearance but manage to hide it.

  "You'll have to excuse my trust issues. Believe it or not, this is the kind of introduction we've had the best response too. And I'm sure you now realise the predicament you get into if not.." Ethan tells him, gesturing to them on their knees.
