A Family (Oc x reader)

Speed Walking

  Ethan is carrying Parker on his shoulders. Jason tells your group about their journey and where they were planning to go. They're looking at the map while speed walking.

  "Yn. Can you look at this?" Ethan then asks for you, and you shout that you're coming right up. You start walking faster in your already speed walk to catch up.

  When you don't come up behind them as soon as he expected, Ethan turns to find you still trying to get up front to them. They can't stop walking, having to make it before it gets dark.

  "You okay?" He asks worriedly as you pant while trying to catch up. You roll your eyes at him.

  You pant as you try to catch up. "Yes.. I'm fine.. You're just.. impatient." You say, annoyed with his worry.

  Ethan slows down slightly so he can show you the map and ask your opinion. You look at it, but your vision blurs, you stumble and Ethan has to catch you so you don't fall.

  "I'm fine." You mumble, but then you stumble again and Ethan stops with a sigh.

  "That's it, you can't move further."

  "No, I'm fine." You say trying to get up from the ground he temporarily sat you down on while he put Parker down. But you struggle and groan to yourself at your inability.

  "You need to let someone else carry you." Ethan says.

  Tom gets closer but Ethan tells him he shouldn't because he's still healing from an injury. Ethan regrets not taking Derek instead, but he needed the strongest to stay behind with the rest.

  "Would you be okay with me, Parker?" Jason offers. Parker immediately looks nervous and hurriedly shakes his head.

  "Parker, I need you to be brave, so I can help Yn." Ethan tells him.

  Parker looks at you and how you struggle to get up from the ground. He hesitantly nods.

  "Thank you, bud." He says and then looks around at the group.

  Jason carefully approaches Parker and holds out his hands. The boy looks up at him, scared and nervous. He slowly lets go of Ethan, looking scared but he glances at you and gets the motivation to take Jason's hand and let him lift him up and on to his shoulders.

  The boys around from the other group have come up to you and helped you stand back up. You smile victoriously and address Ethan.

  "See, I'm fine." You tell him as he walks up to you.

  "You're not taking another step today." He just says and you sigh in defeat. You groan as he leans down to lift you up.

  "Ugh, this is gonna hurt." You say as he lifts you up to carry you bridal style, already feeling the wound hurt.

  "Yup."

...

  "It's better if you just let yourself pass out, Yn." Ethan says after having listened to you hissing and groaning in pain for a while now.

  "Argh." You groan annoyed and then just fall asleep, lying limp in his arms.

  Ethan chuckles and glances at Parker who looks at you worried and seems slightly uncomfortable sitting on a strangers shoulders.
