Yoongi was surprised but more than that he was sad, defeated and alone.

Taehyung's unconscious self didn't come to sense yet. Dr Kim aka Namjoon said that if Taehyung don't open eyes within 1 hour, he need to find Taehyung's mate instantly. If his eyes opens then it's safe.

Yoongi was sitting on the bed at the corner near the omega's feet, hands resting on his cheeks as he was in deep thought.

Taehyung was only with Seojun and if anyone ever got right to mark Taehyung, it was Seojun obviously by his consent.

But if Taehyung was already marked then why Seojun let him go with Jeongguk? Why didn't he stop both of them?

An alpha got power to speak for his mate then how?

Maybe because Jeongguk was a Trueblood.

Yoongi's thought broke as he heard the cough of certain someone, he lifted his eyes from the ground to look at the person and it happened to be his work partner, Felix.

"You found anything about it?" Yoongi asked, standing up on his ground.

Felix nodded. He was nervous and the first time, Yoongi saw Felix nervous like that. Because as far as Yoongi noticed since ages that Felix was cold hearted, less sensible and with strong mental health. The only reason yoongi chose him in the first place and also trust him in the 2nd place of his world.

"Is it Seojun?" The errie silence was eating up the time but the tension was clear on Felix's face.

He didn't just banged his fist to the wall after getting the most horrible information but also he wanted to hide it and tell Yoongi that they got no such information.

But again, he knew the Mafia trusted him. He didn't know how much but he was sure, it's a huge amount for a Mafia to trust anyone.

And whatever happens, Felix didn't want to break the trust at all.

So he was here, standing infront the questioning look of the Mafia with a nervous expression. As he was.

"Tell." Yoongi asked once again. He wasn't a fool to not get something is coming.

Felix took a deep breath before looking straight at the other's eyes.

"It's not Seojun." Felix answered, pausing to look at the other. Yoongi's face turned pale.

No it can't be. Don't say that. It's not what I am thinking.

"It's Jeongguk." Felix finished the left over sentence, feeding the silence more of it as it deepened. Yoongi's already pale face was now more pale. This was something he never even imagined to happen with Taehyung but now as the things got cleared, he felt like it was a nightmare and not reality.

Oh, how much he wishes it to be just a horrible nightmare of one of his nights. But it wasn't.

He knew this. This was the truth, the reality.

Yoongi nodded, getting back all his six senses to work after quiet a while, digesting the fact which still was up his throat and ready to get thrown out.

"Anything m-more?" Yoongi's voice cracked at the end but he coughed harshly to get it together.

No matter how much he sobs, begs to god, cry, nothing gonna get back. Breaking a mate bond is the toughest thing one can ever think of. Reason alphas don't mark anytime soon nowadays.

Earlier when everything was real and the truth, Alphas, betas, they used to mark their partners they choose for themselves but now- now alphas aren't even satisfied with their own marked omegas and later they start regretting it so most of the Gen-z alphas stopped marking their omegas because they suffer too when they get attracted to some other omega.

The only alpha who's sure that it's the omega they ever want and spend their life with, they only mark the person they love.

And if Jeongguk marked Taehyung then one thing is for sure that Jeongguk wants Taehyung and Taehyung's his obsession, his sanity and everything because marking is seen as a big scheme this days.

Not everybody marks. Even the alpha who's truly in love with their omegas or betas also don't mark easily.

"Yeh. There's more." Yoongi's diverted mind fell on the other again.

"Jeongguk got into a major accident. He's in Opera right now. I send few men there. They called to inform that he's having an operation and his survival rate is not high. H-he might not make-"

"STOP!" Yoongi shouted stopping whatever the other was going to say.

"As much as I want to punish him for what he did but I can't let him die. N-never. T-tae will die along with him if anything happens to Jeongguk. N-no it can't be. We have to go there." Yoongi said, his shaking hands were finally jotting down everything.

Felix sighed, nodding his head.

"Will tae open his eyes anytime soon?" Felix asked the other.

"Jeongguk is alive till now so Tae will get his senses back. Namjoon said that it's just that the sudden pain of Jeongguk that he felt made him unconscious. He will be fine- if Jeongguk will be." The last part got out in whisper.

Everything is so messed up when he just thought everything will be better.

It's now a big loophole he's into.

Only God can save him, save his brother.

"Felix, do one thing. Say here with Tae and look after him till he gets back his consciousness. I will go to Jeongguk and look for his condition. If needed, i will take him to a better place for his treatment." Yoongi mumbled as he ran downstairs not before looking at his brother.

A wail left his lips but he suppressed it and left the room.

"How's he doctor?" Yoongi asked. As soon as he reached the hospital, Opera, the operation was done.

He reached just at the exact time and saw Doctors getting out, smiling at each other. A victory smile on their faces.

"He's fine now. The probability of him being alive after the operation was not even 1% but he made it. Maybe because he's a Trueblood but yeh he made it through. He will be fine and ready to discharge within two weeks but there's one thing-"
The doctor paused, taking a shaky unknown breath.

"He might lose his memory-"

"Don't say might, Josh. He lost his memories." Another female doctor spoke from behind. Almost taking away Yoongi's thinking capabilities.

"Yes. His injury was in the back of his head, in his cerebellum. His memory will get badly affected once he wake up. To my grief, he might not even get his memories back ever." The doctor finished as Yoongi's eyes widened like a ball.

"But if he gets enough lucky, oneday he might recall his past days. We can't say what might happen. If you're his guardian, please take proper care regarding the medicines after he gets back home." The doctor retorted before leaving the shocked male.

Yoongi didn't know what to feel. He just felt lost somewhere dark.
