CHOSEN ONES { 9 }

I swam up the ocean,leaving death's grip,heeding to the call of my heart. I heard her voice,distinct but clear,soft but with a hard pull. "I LOVE YOU, I LOVE YOU!" ,her words came,finally I left Death's darkness,into the light of Life and I knew my reply deep within............

"I love you too". I said. And I meant it in every way possible.

Hey,hey lover boy. We've not found our mate and........

Shut up Drex! Why don't you just play along. I thought back hard.

Will do,but oh come on,you are going to have to break her heart if we find our mate. Drex said with stressed pain. I knew he saw everything from my point of view and he understood me quite well. But there was always.........

Don't even think about it,you knew the vow you made and I took you up to it. Drex cut me off angrily and I felt a deep pain in my head. I knew he was pissed. Darn vow......now I have been denied the rights to rejection.

You can't reject our mate,capichè! Yeah,yeah whatever! I blocked our connection temporarily.

I felt her come closer,I could hear her sniffling,"Rex you are awake!"

"Yeah,I think I am". Everywhere hurt like hell. Everything began to feel weird. I already told I what I felt about her,so talking to her seemed quite awkward.

"I'm going to call Seddana,so she can check on you". With obvious happiness in her voice.

I needed to talk to her alone and this might be the only chance I can get. "No,don't.......at least not now." Didn't know what to say,so I said the first question that came to mind.

"So how long have you.........you know".

With slight uneasiness she replies,"Well......since we were kids. I didn't really know how to tell you and only my sister knew".

So that long and I was so blind I couldn't see it. She had loved me just as long as I had loved her and we were both scared to come out and tell each other how we felt. How cowardly!

Twirling her hands as a sign of nervousness,"And I couldn't tell you because I felt you wouldn't feel the same way." She says quite shy. She seemed totally different from the girl a few hours ago. She seemed so timid now and uncertain of everything.

"Guess you were wrong." I said with a chuckle trying to help her relax. "I was also scared of the same thing Anne........with this mate thing too. I didn't want to make you love me then break your heart when I find my mate..........but now I think there's no stopping this." I saw her brows crease and I knew what she was wondering. Well I had to ask and just hoped destiny was on my side. "See,I know you feel the same way about me and normally things are meant to follow and........."

"I know...",she cuts me off,".....but I can take it,if either of us find our mate,I'm sure we will understand knowing that we were well aware. But yes Rex,I want things to go as normal as they can be.....if it's also alright with you and who knows what the Fates have for us". Placing her hand on my cheek I couldn't help but raise myself up and give her kiss.

She tasted like cinnamon and it took me willpower not to take her clothes off. She moaned silently and I felt her temperature go up and swore by the Lights the Fates better be on my side. I noticed she was loosing it and was raising my shirt up when a sharp pain hit me. I winced so hard that I shuddered. She retreated looking quite flustered and apologetic at the same time.

With huge gasps she says,"I'm so sorry,I forgot myself there. Sorry!"

"It's okay..",following her gaze back to my lips,"...there's more where that came from". I say with a wink. She smiles feeling quite relieved and blushes.

She moves forward and her lips comes in contact with mine and it's that taste again blowing me senseless. I was treasuring every moment when we were interrupted by a knock. She jerks back quickly leaving my wolf growling.

Don't tell me you were enjoying that Drex. I thought teasingly to my wolf.

Didn't say I wouldn't enjoy it while it lasted. He sounded quite pleased and I felt quite relaxed that he would go with me. Loosing connection I focus on the door. The scent didn't seem quite strange but had two mixes to it.....Seddana and....who?

"Come in". Anne calls out. A girl looking almost quite like Seddana enters holding a blue potion. She looked lively and quite free. Maybe an Air wielder.

Seeing me,"Oh good,you awake. Didn't want to wake you up to take this." Shaking the potion bottle with a big smile.

Who was she? "And you are.....?" I asked,quite eager to know who she was. She had a bit of Seddana's scent and I don't seem to recall her around Seddana.

"Oh sorry! Forgive my manners......my name's Sheeyla. Seddana's niece." So that's why she had her scent and the familiarity of Seddana's twin sister was so evident.

"Nice to meet you." Anne who was quite silent speaks up.

"You too". Focusing back on me,"You know it's quite something you are up and doing well. Seddana nearly lost hope on you there". That seemed so unlikely of Seddana to give up on something and most especially her Godchildren.

"Are you okay?",Anne's voice came quite worried,"You seem quite bothered about something".

"Yeah,I am". Holding her hands. She eases after this and gazes at me affectionately. Sheeyla seem to take the cue and dropped the bottle on the table.

"I'll go tell Seddana you're awake". Closing the door softly.

"I really thought I'd lose you there. Everyone did,that is except for your mum". She says with a chuckle.

"Yeah, thought I'd be a goner to myself". Gazing at me with a mischievous smile prying on her lips,she leans forward and place her lips on mine with her body begging for attention but I knew I had to go easy.

Life seemed so beautiful right then.

Yeah yeah,crucify me. Sorry I haven't updated so long been quite busy. Exams are coming up quite sooon.
