I awakened to my alarm yelling at me, moving my hand over to my desk and pressing the button to turn off its beeping. Huh... odd, I swear I fell asleep on the floor last night. I must've forgotten getting back into bed. I shrugged it off, standing up and straightening my glasses which I hadn't taken off the night before. Odd... but I wasn't awake enough to care much.
I walked into the bathroom and washed my face, taking a good look at myself while messing with my hair, leaving it alone once it looked good. I stepped out of the bathroom and prepared myself some lunch, just the usual little meal box you'd see a preppy student have.
Feeling a little hungry I peeled a banana and put it up to my face.
Then I blinked.
And it was gone.
This is where I reveal my astonishingly boring quirk. If I was completely honest, I was not particularly certain of how I ate. It seemed that food that I had the intention of consuming would vanish and fulfill my hunger as long as it was not being seen at that exact moment. I know, it sounds bizarre, and one would ask why I hadn't been put into a laboratory, dissected, and examined by now. The answer was really simple: it wasn't all that strange. There were crazier quirks and more interesting things to be talked about in the current world. A disappearing tray of food wasn't all too exciting to anyone. This is why I said I was basically quirkless... since this was the only thing I did that was different from everyone else, my quirk was basically hands free feeding, or something like that. I didn't give it a cool name like every kid did with their quirk when they were younger because it was... well... boring. I was often ignored during quirk counseling because of my lackluster power, but I wasn't ever too phased by it. The only other information about my quirk that I know of is that it's an accumulation quirk... and that's it. I find it really funny, so the hungrier I am then the more I'll eat? That's just a regular emotion, no need to give it such a serious sounding title.
I packed up my lunch into my bookbag and went back to my room to put my uniform on. I realized I was still a little tired when my bed started looking like the stairs to heaven. I correlated it to the fact I was up a bit earlier than usual because I wanted more time to get ready for school. I got into my loafers and went outside, seeing that the sun had just barely come up. I checked the time on my phone: 6:58... plenty of time. I took my stuff outside and set it on a bench that was placed to the right of my apartment's door. I shut my door and sat down next to my bookbag. I waited, laying my head back a little bit and admiring the pretty colors of the sky. Although it was just the second floor, I got a really lovely view from the walkway balcony. The colors were hypnotizing, a vibrant red that shifted into yellow, completely contrasting the dim blue sky that got brighter by the second.
Well... everyone's seen a pretty sunrise before, not like there was anything special about this one.
I closed my eyes, resting them a little bit as I kept waiting.
The bench was nice and warm...
The sun felt great on my face...
"Leiluuuu," I felt a slight touch on my left antenna and I jolted awake. I looked up, seeing the pink culprit that had poked my delicate sensors. I covered my antenna with one hand and wagged my finger at her.
"Oh, my bad! I was just trying to wake you! Didn't know they were sensitive like that," she said softly, still speaking a little low since I wasn't fully awake yet. I waved my hand, using it to greet her as well as to dismiss her worries about my slight irritation. I stood up, slipping my bookbag on and checking my phone again: 7:12
"Good morning, hopefully you didn't sleep there all night," she smirked, and I rolled my eyes, starting to walk again to lead the way. I led Ashido down the stairs and onto the street, retracing my steps to the closer stop. She caught up next to me, walking beside me as I made another blunder. I rubbed my eyes under my glasses, fixing them shortly afterwards. Following this, I felt a poke on my shoulder,
