- [ Takagi POV ] -
"Damn it! Gaster seriously had to just fall into the CORE of all places?! I swear..." I thought angrily as I teleported to Hotland. Sometimes I wonder how stupid Gaster is. I mean, why didn't he install guardrails on the walkways in the CORE of all places?
Once I got to the CORE, I immediately initiated a connection with the computer handling the CORE. And... what I shocked me to my very SOUL. "Would you go get Alphys? I need her to see this ASAP." I said to one of my colleagues as my hands trembled. Hearing the urgency and shock in my voice, they nodded and bolted out of the Computer Room. "If what the Computer displayed is true... then is my theory for the Multiverse actually real?" I whispered to myself. Shaking that aside, I saw my colleague enter the room with Alphys in tow. "Thank you, I appreciate it very much." They nodded. "It's the least I can do for you, sir." With that they walked away, and I turned towards Alphys.
"Alphys, can you please check this again? I already checked it multiple times, but... it just doesn't seem real." I asked her. "Y- yeah! L-let's see here..." She responded. "..Oh- ..." She muttered. "Say again? I couldn't quite hear you.." I said confused. "O-oh, um. H-how can I say this? O-okay, so from what I can see Gaster was completely erased from existence. From the readings here, it says that Gaster was transported into the void." Right after she finished speaking, I felt my SOUL drop. Gaster was like a brother to me... And now he's been erased from existence! "...I need a minute alone. Do not attempt to follow me." I replied dully with venom laced in my voice for the last part. Then, I teleported to the top of Mt. Ebott and sit down on the peak.
(A/N: I know that Monsters can't cross the Barrier without the Seven Human SOULs. But, Takagi has Natural Determination in his SOUL, thereby allowing him to bypass the Barrier.)
"It's been a while since I have last seen a sunset... I wonder how they're doing now. Have they had kids yet?" I pondered outloud, looking out to the horizon. "I should probably go back to the Lab, I'd rather not have another incident like this again." I said sighing as I stand back up. Teleporting back to the Lab, I walked over to the Computer's desk and sat down in the chair. "Why do I have to deal with all of this nonsense..." I questioned to myself, sighing I started working on the fifty-fourth task I have to do.
After a seemingly endless amount of things, I have finished everything. Looking around, I noticed all of my colleagues have already left -- save for Alphys. "I guess they left after they finished their work, curious." I said to no one in particular. "I guess I should go back home. I'll tell Sans what happened to Gaster tomorrow." Clicking my fingers, I teleport to my home. Putting my trench coat on the coat rack and locking the door, I head to my couch and lay down. "I might as well just go to sleep."
