-  [  Location: Mt. Ebott City  ]  -
~  [  Third POV  ]  ~

During one of his reading sessions, Gaster suddenly felt a large, powerful magical surge near the True Lab in the Underground. "..What is this potent surge of magic? Could it be...? No.. it couldn't be, he... I need to go check it out," Gaster thought, wondering what this powerful surge could possibly be. "Sans!", he called Sans over. "yeah, G? what is it?", Sans queried. "Did you feel a large surge of magic around where the True Lab is?", Gaster asked, then added "It felt... oddly familiar..." Sans shook his head, "nah, i didn't feel one. but, i think you may know who it is," he replied, "c'mon, G." Sighing, Gaster reluctantly followed Sans back to the True Lab.

*Just before Gaster felt the surge*

-  [  Takagi POV  ]  -

I teleport back to the True Lab after nearly one hundred-fifty years of being absent. "Ah... it seems that everyone has already left. I wonder where they went?", I pondered out loud, then I sense a familiar magic signature, "Hm? Is that Sans and... Gaster?!", I exclaim in surprise, snapping my fingers I teleport my trench coat into my hands. Then, I quickly started walking towards where Sans and Gaster were headed.

Meanwhile with Sans and Gaster, they had just gotten out of the elevator down to the True Lab when they heard a shout, "Hey!" I shouted while walking towards them, "It's nice to see you all grown up, Sans."

"uh, G, do you know him?", Sans quietly asked Gaster. "Yes, I do know him," Gaster replied, then to Takagi, "How have you been, old friend? It's been what, a hundred-some years?" I chuckle, "I've been quite pleasant," I pause, "But, I do have a question..." Both Sans and Gaster looked intrigued, "Go on."

I take a moment to gather my thoughts, then I ask, "Where's that little gremlin? I'd love to see how they're doing. Chara, I mean." I notice both of them exchange a glance with one another. Gaster sighs and turns around the other way, then says in a monotone - almost emotionless - voice, "Erased. It is unfortunate that they were; ask Asriel for more."

My eye-lights widened then disappeared, I then ask almost rhetorically, "Is it really that hard to leave for nearly one hundred-fifty years and not have anything bad happening to my cherished ones?",  I sigh, "It doesn't matter. Come on, I'd like to see what has happened during my absence." Not waiting for either of them, I formed a small door with [VOID] and walked through it.

Upon exiting the doorway, I found myself in a small, bustling city with both Monsters and Humans alike roaming about. "What an intriguing city," I mutter to myself. Sensing a familiar SOUL, I started walking towards that direction - eventually opting to teleport myself. Appearing at a school, I decided to go inside. I noticed the children's stares at my unusual attire, I merely dismissed those stares.

After a few moments of walking, I finally reached the Prince's location. I greet the Prince whilst bowing my head, "Greetings, Prince Asriel. I am Takagi, or Agi, if you would prefer." The Prince stared at me for a moment, then turned to his teacher, "Um, may I be excused? This is an old friend of my Dad..." They nodded and said, "Yes, you may." Clapping my hands I exclaim, "Great, come along now, my Prince." Not wasting any time, I open a [VOID] doorway in the hallway. "Please do not enter the doorway, everyone; unlike Humans, Monsters are able to withstand the extreme amount of Magic. Thank you," I warned the students and teacher before the Prince and I walked through the doorway and appeared at the Dreemurr Home on the Surface.

"This is certainly a nice cozy home for royalty," I remark. "Yeah, it is. Though, why are you back? I, no we, had thought you left," the Prince asked. I chuckle, reminiscing the past, "Well, that's a story for everyone." I knock on the door to their house. "King Asgore," I greet, "it's a pleasure to meet you again after a century." The King laughed, "My friend, it is my pleasure. Come in, come in!"

I walk inside with the Prince in tow, I notice another Human sitting on the couch, curious I asked the King who it was. "Oh this? This is Frisk, the Seventh Human to fall in the Underground. He freed us with the help of Asriel," he responded. "Hi," Frisk said, "as Asgore said, I helped free Monsterkind from within the Underground. Now, I'm the Ambassador for Monsters." I nod, putting my hand out for a handshake, "It's good to meet another wielder of Determination."

Frisk's eyes widen slightly, "How did you know I have the SOUL of Determination?" I chuckle slightly, "Well, despite being a Monster, I have Determination." Snapping my fingers, I summon my SOUL, a Monster SOUL with a red hue to it. "It allows me to sense other Determination users, plus with the benefits of having much stronger Magic." Now that got their attention, I continued speaking, "I know that you have that Button, Frisk. I am also aware of the Timelines, just like Sans is. I trust that you do not use it."

That stunned everyone present, even Gaster. I then asked a question I had since my arrival to the Dreemurr home, "By the way... I sensed a familiar SOUL in one of the rooms. Do you all know who that really is?" Everyone shook their heads, seemingly confused by my question. "Well," I started, "could you bring me to them?" Asgore nodded his head, "Of course, old friend." He then started walking with me in tow. We reached a room, and Asgore knocked on it. "Betty, do you have a moment? An old friend of mine is here." I hear a muffled confirmation. This 'Betty' opens the door and notices me, her eyes then go very wide as if remembering something. "You," she starts, "you again..."

I sigh, remembering what I had said to her, "Yes, it's me again. She told me to come back. I wouldn't have, but she is quite persuasive." I then remembered something that I have to tell Gaster, "Excuse me for a moment, Asgore. I must give something to Gaster." Immediately after that, I vanished into black particles. "Gaster." I call out. "Yes? What is it, Gi?" he replied. "No, not here. It is not a good area. Come with me," I answered while opening a different colored [VOID] doorway, "this is where we shall converse. I call it... Eonith, or in English The Reflection."

He nodded, understanding the purpose. "So, what do you have to talk to me about?" he queried, curious as to why I asked him of all people. I sigh, not looking forward to asking this of my brother only not in blood. "It's very hard for me to ask you of this, but... I ask that you destroy my SOUL with this weapon," I reply while forming a weapon, "it will prevent it from Refusing, thereby permanently destroying it."

As soon as I finished speaking, the weapon that appeared was a pure white dagger. "It's something I've been working on for decades. Trying to figure out a way to prevent HIM from taking over," I continue, "and at long last, I found it. I found a way to prevent HIM from taking over. But... it won't last."

"And who is this 'HIM'?"
