-Harry-

Eyes set in cold stone, Harry waited atop the platform floating on the Black Lake. In the stand, a large portion sit empty as dozens of students were imprisoned after the Yule Ball for conspiring in the attack. He had learned of the multiple assassination attempts made on the decoy carriage he'd sent out, and then there was the poisoned perfume itself. He'd been somewhat sick for a few days thanks to his exposure, but it had been targeted at Propheta. His healers had saved his wife, but their child was lost.

-Flashback-

Pacing, Harry continued to force ragged breaths in and out, struggling to contain his rage. Already he'd forced every student to be questioned under veritaserum lest they be considered a conspirator and locked in the dungeons. Those that refused he kept his word and the ones who confessed to being in on the plot, a good portion of Slytherin House, were locked in the smallest spaces he could find, wands taken, and awaiting trial. Word of the assassination, and his imprisonment of the conspiring students, soon spread out of the Castle grounds.

"Sir, we have an envoy from the Ministry." One of his Amazons entered the room, staying back at his obvious rage.

"And?" he turned to them, needing something to focus on as he waited for Propheta to wake up…and try to figure out how to break the news to her.

"They're demanding you release the students immediately." A pin drop could be heard as she read the missive, handing it over.

"They…what?!" Harry felt ready to spit fire as he read it over, his fist shaking with rage "I want a statement sent to the prophet with it made clear that publishing it isn't a request." He turned towards the Amazon who had come in, "Make sure they know that the students I have locked up have committed attempted assassination and admitted it. That I expect the family members outside of the school to be extradited here for their own punishment. At the moment it's looking like Magical England wishes to declare war on my lands, and I don't intend to lose."

-End Flashback-

After that the atmosphere in the country had been tense, a cold war of sorts having started as members of the British Ministry kept the families of those who aided the assassination hidden while trying to negotiate for the release of the student aged assassins who hadn't been let out of the dungeon which was being used as one for the first time in centuries.

"Greetings!" Karkaroff stepped forward to ready for the second event, the man having been livid at the attack and made sure all his students took the veritaserum to prove they weren't behind it. The man was truly becoming a valuable friend, "And welcome to the Second Task of the Tri-Wizard Tournament! For this task each Champion has a 'hostage' placed at the bottom of the Black Lake. Don't be concerned though, each one is an animated facsimile so there is no actual endangerment to those closest to our champions!" the crowd looked pleased at that announcement which had been a change Harry had insisted on most vehemently. Stepping closer to the water, Harry let his magic swirl about to show just how angry he was and this task would be a delicious way help blow off steam, as well as show how stupid an idea it is to piss him off.

"You may begin at the sound of the canon!" Narcissa shouted, remaining in her seat to avoid upsetting the baby, having come further along over the last few months. At her words, the canon fired, echoic over the water. Eyes blazing, Harry lashed out at the lake, fueling his rage as the water began to part and rise, rising up into columns till the mermaid village itself was exposed.

As they were enchanted to, the facsimiles of humans woke up once they were no longer submerged and made their way out of the lake while the mermen and mermaids all gaped slack jawed at the lake rising high into the sky. In one particular column if anyone cared to look, they'd have seen a very confused giant squid.

"Uh…um…" Jean-Luc shook as he stammered and stared at the sight, the only ones not caught off guard being those of his family, his country, and Karkaroff.

"You know, I'm now happier than ever that I've been talking about a treaty with your husband." He heard Karkaroff mutter to Narcissa from the judging booth as his platinum blonde wife snorted dryly.

"Hurry up and judge the issue." Harry gave a hard look at Jean-Luc but truly was impatient, "I have more important things to be doing."

"Oh, what could be more important than the tournament?" the French prick sneered as Harry let the water back down, thankfully without hurting anyone.

"Finding the rat faced bastard who murdered my unborn child." Harry snarled, planning to find Pettigrew, rip out his spine, and beat the traitorous bastard with it.

-Pettigrew-

Shaking, Peter cleaned up the cauldron where he'd made the latest batch of the potion that was sustaining his master, trying to stand straight despite his current levels of fear. The inner circle of the Death Eaters was vastly reduced now. There were the cultists who hated the Amazons as much as his master hated Potter, there were the few Death eaters who'd managed to escape Azkaban as well as Potter, and now Peter himself who stood at his master's right hand thanks to his success with the poison. A hard shudder shook his body, although that same plot likely made Potter put him on as big of a kill list as Voldemort himself.

Everyone knew he was behind the poisoned perfume, the students having apparently been informed by their parents and confessed this under veritaserum. That confession got to Potter who had made quite the public statements as to what he intended to do to Peter should the young King ever get his hands on him.

He hadn't been as worried at first. Potter was strong but he still only had so much experience. He'd fought fools and old men but his Master was strong and clever so he was sure Potter would lose and that Peter himself would be safe. Then the boy had lifted the entire Black Lake over his head like it was nothing. Now he was trying to figure out the best way to get off this Island should Voldemort's ritual fail. "What did I do to deserve this?"
