Asha woke to the smell of pancakes and saw her friend Dahlia snuck in. Asha looked shocked "Dahlia!?" She said in surprise. "How did you-" Sakina smirked "you sneak out the house with your dad so it's fair for me to sneak a friend in" she said smirking Asha smiled "fair enough" She said hugging Dahlia. "Can you wake your father up Asha?" Asha turned to her mother and nodded as she got up the stairs "Dad! Breakfast is ready!" Tomàs was unresponsive. Asha grew worried "Dad...if you don't wake up Mickle will take all your mouse shaped cookies" again he was still unresponsive Asha covered in mouth "N-No "Dad!" She screamed yanking the blankets off him and began to shake him which caused him to slightly open his eyes "hey starlight...daddy's not feeling well today..." he said sadly as he coughed "why don't you wait for me? Ok starlight" Asha nodded as she breathed shakily as she walked out and back to the dining room "dad said he's coming...just to give him a minute" she said as she sat down next to Mickle with a tearful look. Sakina looked concerned as a loud thud erupted. Sakina jolted "kids stay down here and don't eat yet.." Mickle stood "is daddy gonna be ok?" He said confused and worriedly. Sakina wanted to tell him the truth but... "I don't know.." she said unsurely as she got up and saw Tomàs unconscious on the ground "Tomàs!" She screamed "Tomàs! Wake up! This is not funny!" She panicked and ran to get her phone to dial for the hospital..
Tomàs soon awoke in the hospital bed with Asha standing infront of him "where am I? What happened?" He asked all confused just suddenly Asha jumped into his arms in tears with Mickle holding onto him. Asha sighed "I'm so glad you're not hurt...you're not hurt are you? No broken bones? No fractures no-" Tomàs cut her off assuringly "no sweetie I'm not hurt...Asha..I may not be around much longer..." Mickle looked confused "what? Why? Are you going on a magical trip?" Tomàs sat up slightly "hey Star champ...why don't you hang out with Dahlia for the day...ok?" Mickle nodded "ok.. promise me you'll get better" Tomàs had a sad smile as he thought *how can Sakina or I tell a 2 year old that I'm not gonna be able to..*. He shook his head and turned to Asha. "Asha..Im not gonna be around much longer...but even if I'm not around you physically I'll always be around you watching over you...like a star" he said sweetly as he reached over to grab a small case "this is kinda a sorry but very late happy birthday gift I wanted give you." He said as he handed it to Asha. Asha looked confused as she opened it and it was a sparkly golden yellow star necklace that shined. Asha smiled happily "Dad I...I love it" she smiled as she leaned in giving a hug as Tomàs returned the hug. Tomàs carefully placed the necklace on Asha. Tomàs smiled "there now you'll always remember...you'll always be daddy's starlight" he said as he sweetly smiled.. Asha wiped a few tears and hugged again "and you'll always be my star king" Asha turned to grab a plate "look! Some churros! They're your favorite" she said smiling. Tomàs smiled "thanks sweetie"
Later that night
Sakina gestured for Asha to come out as Tomàs was reading. "Sweetie...have a seat" Asha gulped as she sat down she turned to see Sabino facing the wall looking down in tears. "Asha...there's a chance that Tomàs won't make it tonight" Asha looked saddened as she stood. "W-what.." Sakina hugged Asha "I'm sorry baby... what we should do is make the most of our goodbyes-" she was cut to a window shattering and an alarm as a large amount of nurses and doctors ran inside room number...1918...not long after...the doctor came out with a saddened look... Sakina Sabino and Asha knew what happened... "I'm sorry" the doctor said sadly.. just then Dahlia came in carrying a sleeping Mickle. Dahlia looked confused at first and walked up. They turned to her with saddened expression. Dahlia covered her mouth "oh..." she lowered Mickle to a chair and hugged Asha who was crying.
Back at home
Asha was in her bed looking at the stars and wondered "why...why did you have to take him?" She cried out lowering her face at the balcony and just cried. She suddenly stopped when she heard her bedroom door open. "Asha?" Asha turned to see Mickle at her door "Hey Mickle...everything ok?" Mickle looked worried "when will daddy be back?" He asked Asha sighed... "Mickle...he's with the stars right now and he'll be there for a very very very long time.." Mickle looked shocked "will he be back?" Asha shook her head "I'm sorry...he's not..but it'll be ok as he's watching over us and watching us grow... we're strong people after all.." Mickle wiped Asha's tears "can I sleep with you tonight?...Miles wouldn't stop begging" he said as he held up a small mouse plush. Asha smiled sweetly "of course" she placed Mickle on one side of the bed and began to sing

He sung while smiling as Asha began What's pain when I look at you? No way! I could explain to you,even if I tried to. I'll never dream like I used to do.If someone tired to hurt you I don't see how that can happen. I'd fight for you in ways you can't imagine. Felt this? No I haven't, I hope it would be all right to stay right here beside you. And promise as one does I,I'll protect you at all costs..Keep you safe here in my arms. I,I'll protect you at all costs...At all costs. (Mickle started to doze off and fall asleep) At all costs. She wiped a tear and climbed into bed as Mickle cuddled her tight "I love you Asha" Asha smiled "I love you too.."
