The next morning dawned bright and warm over Ahmedabad, casting a golden hue through the hotel room windows. Shubman Gill stirred awake, the events of the previous night still lingering in his mind like a sweet dream. He stretched lazily, his thoughts drifting to Supraja and the tender moments they had shared.
As he lay there, basking in the afterglow of their connection, there was a sudden knock on the door. "Shubman! Rise and shine, buddy!" Ishan's voice called out cheerfully.
Shubman chuckled, throwing off the covers and padding over to the door. He swung it open to reveal Ishan and Hardik standing there, both grinning mischievously.
"Good morning, sleeping beauty," Hardik teased, nudging Shubman playfully.
Ishan raised an eyebrow teasingly. "So, how was your night, mate? Heard you had quite the celebration after the victory."
Shubman's cheeks colored slightly as he tried to maintain his composure. "Oh, you know, just enjoying the moment," he replied casually, though his smile gave away his happiness.
Hardik leaned against the doorframe, crossing his arms. "And what about Supraja?" he asked with a knowing smirk.
Shubman's expression softened at the mention of her name. "She's... amazing," he admitted, his voice filled with genuine affection. "We had a really nice time."
Ishan clapped him on the shoulder. "Good for you, man," he said warmly. "You deserve it."
Shubman nodded gratefully, feeling fortunate to have friends who understood and supported him. "Thanks, guys," he said sincerely. "I appreciate it."
Hardik grinned, nudging Ishan with his elbow. "Looks like our boy is smitten," he teased lightly.
Ishan chuckled. "Well, who wouldn't be? Supraja is pretty special."
Shubman smiled, feeling a rush of gratitude for the camaraderie and friendship of his teammates. "Yeah," he agreed quietly. "She really is."
As they chatted and joked in the doorway, the morning sunlight streamed into the room, casting long shadows across the floor. It was a new day, filled with promise and anticipation for the upcoming match. But for Shubman, it was also a day tinged with the sweet memories of a budding romance—a romance that had unexpectedly blossomed amidst the excitement of the World Cup season.
