as the cold breeze brushed against the soles of your feet, a shiver raced through you, forcing a soft gasp from your lips. you had awakened from a restless sleep, slowly sitting up in the dimness of the early morning. the shadows loomed thick around you, making it clear just how early it was.
"6:00 am... why is it so cold?" you mumbled to yourself, rubbing your tired eyes, trying to shake off the remnants of sleep.
"what's the matter, my love?" a sleepy voice broke through the stillness, pulling you back from your thoughts.
"i woke up from the cold, and now i can't sleep, but i'm so sleepy," you admitted, a yawn escaping as you spoke, your body still longing for the warmth of sleep.
in an instant, you felt a soft touch against your skin, sending a delightful shiver down your spine as he pulled you back under the covers. his strong arms wrapped around your waist, encasing you in warmth, unwilling to let you go.

"now you've made me awake, my love," he murmured, burying his face into the crook of your neck. you inhaled deeply, the scent of berries and sweetness enveloping you, adding to the warmth that surrounded you both.
a giggle escaped your lips as his tousled hair brushed against your neck, tickling your skin. you turned in his embrace, wanting to face him, and as you did, you were met with the captivating depths of his midnight blue eyes, shimmering like the night sky. in that moment, you felt a rush of affection, as if the world outside had faded away, leaving just the two of you in this cocoon of warmth and love.
giyuu had always possessed a gentle softness for you. no matter how heated arguments would become, he was always the first to apologize, unable to bear the thought of losing you.
