Koketso
Me: Mpendulo we are getting late
Mpe: I am almost done hauw
Thobile: Abuti he's far from being done
****Mpendulo gave Thobile a stinky eye and she laughed it off. My siblings are just out of this world. Naledi, the last born was eating and just minding her own business.
Before I get too far, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Koketso Bogatsu and I am 29 years old. I am a trained and qualified private pilot. When I am not flying, I use my other degree which is a bachelor of accountancy. Both my parents are alive by God's grace as well as my paternal grandparents. My family is a huge and united family so one is really left out of anything. My parents are, Kagiso (father(53)) and Tintswalo (mother(47)). I have 3 siblings, Mpendulo(22) my younger brother who is a business man, basically managing my fathers' companies. He is followed by Thobile (18) who is currently studying at the university of Johanessburg. She is studying law. The last born is Naledi (16) who is in grade 10.
Mpendulo and I were on our way to a meeting being held at our mother's resturant, Tswalos. We arrived 10 minutes late all thanks to Mpe. We greeted the people and took our seats.****
Me: Gentlemen, apologies for being late
Mpe: there was an accident somewhere on the way here
**** He said lying to them in a straight face. The men nodded in agreement to him and a waiter took our orders. Just as I was about to speak my eyes found themselves staring at a beautiful short lady with dimples and a long weave. The only reason I know so much about weaves is because of my mother and sister, Thobile.****
Mpe: he will have what i'm having
****I heard him say and then the waiter left.****
Mpe: who is that?
Me: I am asking myself the same question
Mpe: she is a beautiful lady. Do you like her?
Me: what's there not to like?
Man1: Mr Bogatsu, may we begin
****I gave the man my attention while stealing glances at the lady. Mpendulo would save me from the meeting when he noticed that I was distracted. Finally the meeting ended and the men left. Mpendulo looked at me and the girl and then stood up****
Me: heyi wena o ya kae? (where are you going?)
Mpe: going to get you your girl
Me: sit down
Mpe: hebana Koketso, akere wena o na le gwababa
Me: Mpendulo sit down
****He looked at me once, took a sip of his drink and went to the lady. Ohhh this boy! I watched them talk and saw lady look at me. I melted at the sight of her. She kept shaking her head at whatever Mpe was saying. Mpendulo was probably ruining my chances at having a wife, not just any wife a Bogatsu wife. He walked back to our table and took a seat.****
Mpe: She doesn't like you
Me: who said you could go talk to her? Who said that I cannot talk to her on my own?
Mpe: Koketso you have gwababa. You always know how to approach the ladies and they also know how to throw themselves at you. This time you are stuck, so I thought you needed help
Me: Mpendulo, I did not ask for your help. Look what you have done now, you have scared her away. Did you get her name atleast?
***He shook his head no and left me defeated. My mother approached our table and we stood up to greet her with warm hugs.****
